Not in the U.S. Again, it's the U.S. national association that's paying them, not some international association. If they were suing FIFA, we could take your argument into account.
But women's soccer is much bigger in the U.S. than men's. There's probably more competition in that case for the U.S.'s women's side, because women's soccer (due to Title IX, I believe) actually has more of an organization--school programs, youth leagues, etc.
Little kids play soccer and most of the boys go on to play other more popular sports. Girls, however, stick with soccer because in a lot of cases, that's all that's really available.
