Yeah basically the characters were boring and felt like they had no chemistry or reason to be together, they made the lore of the avatar universe retarded with stuff like making lion turtles just give people bending and changing the spirit world into a wacky fun area for little kids and kept the show confined to 1 initially cool location that just wasn't as interesting as learning about all the different places in the Avatar world.

Korra sucked. Zaheer was the only good thing to come out of the show. Everything else was either complete missteps or wasted potential. I agree, too bad the first book was plagued with dumb drama and pro-bending nonsense.
Second book was by far the worst. Nega-Avatar could've been a series highlight, but instead we end up with a giant power rangers fight complete with the most confusing deus ex machina ever.
The whole series probably could've benefited from more time to flesh out story archs. They had some great ideas that rarely ever played out correctly. I'd like to think it was the fault of the studio pressuring them on deadlines rather than writer error but who knows?
Ah well, at least the action scenes were well animated.

You don't understand just how badly the fans wanted it, Nickelodeon wanted the show over way before the creators considered Korrasami (I think airing Season 2 without ANY advertising whatsoever did them in), and the tumblr virtue signallers only caught onto it after the show ended.
A huge thing propelling the ship was that Korra and Asami were seen enjoying each others' company. The show creators never made a plot point out of their relationship status (unlike pretty much every other configuration of the main team) and so didn't fuck it up.
