Speaks a lot to the way society is these days that I even have to write this. I don't have much else in the way of an outlet so indulge me.
I'm 51 this year. My wife and I married when we were both 32. We have 3 children (all under 12) and a completely sexless marriage (except when trying for the kids of course. I have been frustrated despite a very high labido for the duration of the marriage, increasingly more frustrated with each passing year really.
Talking to my wife about it, who I love very much by the way, just causes friction. I don't want to have her do things just because of pressure, it should have been because she wanted too (nothing is more of a turn off than a disgruntled woman looking like she would rather be doing anything else).
Anyway, I founded my own company around 15 years ago. Things were tough for the first 10 years with the recession and whatnot but things have being going really well for the last few years. I feel like I barely know my kids as I work 100+ hour weeks often, but it's all for them.
In a moment of weakness, first time in 20 years of sexless marriage, I cheated on my wife with another woman. My wife found out last week and is now going to be filing for divorce.
She's taking the kids and half my money. Because of how things might turn out I might need to give up equity in the company to pay for the divorce, maybe sell the whole thing even.
Starting from scratch seems completely futile. I figure I'm staring at the end credits of a film. Well, I think that about covers it, not sure what to expect by way of a response but I'm probably going to check out once the divorce papers hit.
