Well, the political and elite ruling class are pretty satisfied with the status quo so Hillary is their candidate and they’re going to do whatever they can to prevent Sanders and Trump from winning. If Hillary got indicted (slim chance) then they would have a real problem because they don’t want a Sanders v Trump election. If there’s a major terror attack that could push some towards Trump but even then he is so hated by large segments of the population that I can’t see him carrying the electoral college. The Republican party at present has to decide whether or not it’s more damaging to proceed with Trump who will likely lose or to try to insert a last minute replacement, thus fracturing the party forever (likely inevitable in the long run anyway). If I were a betting man I would bet on stability and consistency from the US. It’s still the major economic driver of the globe to say nothing of it’s military superiority. No one with any influence wants to see it change to dramatically regardless of what the domestic constituencies might want.
