I came from Reddit to here several years ago. People on Reddit talk about this place like it's the esoteric source for all memes and Lulz on the web. People tgere are always bringing up their stories they brought back from here.
After 6 months or so I never went back. My progression through my home boards went /b/, then /g/, then /pol/ which told me about cuck posting on /tv/ so I went there for my home board. /tv/ and /g/ ran concurrent after that for a while but /tv/ is a ship board and after a while I couldn't take it so I went just to /g/. Eventually after seeing so many people telling people to go back to /pol/ anytime the Jews were brought up I slowly transitioned strictly to /pol/. That was maybe 2 or 3 years ago.
Moot, being the cuck that he is, fucking up this board kept me off it for a while and I'd visit /k/ and /int/ but this is my home board now.
I went to Reddit one time back in November and my one post about #blm got censored and it wasn't even racist. I argued with the mods till they banned me because they lost the argument set it in stone. I'll never go back, not even to beat off on gone wild.

I've done the same thing, over the years I get a group of friends and my life is coming together to where I'm not on the computer all day and I forget about 4chan, but sooner or later I end up in a situation where I'm alone and have nothing to do and end up back here. Even with all the changes over the years it's amazing to me how much of the internet culture is still created by 4chan, I really think of it as the internet in its purest form. I've still never had a social media account and don't know if I ever will.
