First of all, Trump will snatch black voters. He already alluded to the possibility, and I believe once he secures GOP nomination (and won't have to worry about securing white supremacist vote anymore) his campaign will start aggressively target urban blacks. I can't wait for the sound of collective anus explosion on /pol/ when Trump announces his African-American running mate.
Second key group are Sanders voters. It may seem even more counterintuitive - after all, didn't Berniefags violently disrupt Trump rallies, and aren't the two groups the opposite of each other? In fact, Sanders and Trump are similar in many aspects: they both oppose current economic policies, they are both against "trade" deals like TTIP, they both believe internal spending is the key to economic rebuilding, they both want to bring back real economy to America. Clinton already started to court "moderate" (establishment) Republicans who hate Trump, snatching Sanders supporters is perfectly logical move.
Also, I don't think he would fare against Clinton that bad among the general electorate. Clinton is an experienced politician with a lot of skeletons in her closet (email scandal, Benghazi, hawkishness, Clinton Foundation...) and it can be used to attack her, while Trump has no political experience whatsoever and thus can look incorruptible compared to her.

He really cannot put the cart before the horse now. Things are hanging in the balance, I can just feel it. It's the classic Napoleon dilemma, a guy comes out of nowhere with startling brilliance and bashes his enemies out of the way, then can't respond when his enemies regroup and subvert his tactics because he can't get over his own ego.
Trump and some of his idiotic fans think that because he's miraculously gotten to this point, that the same chest-beating will win victory in November. Trump won't listen to reason until the tide turns against him, at which point it will have been too late. Arguably, it already is too late.
Being a maverick and an uncontrolled chaotic force worked wonders during the primaries and Trump should get credit for that. Now it is only serving to undo his progress and jeopardize his entire endeavor.
