I want someone to explain how Trump gets elected. And for the record, I'm Never Hillary or Bernie, or fucking Rato.

Whether it's fair or not, Trump and/or the media has alienated Hispanics, veterans, Muslims, women, liberals, democrats, half of republicans, and likely a good segment of Asians, Jews, Blacks, religious and atheists. And he doesn't have the white male vote down by any means.

And he continues to make a string of horrible gaffes, almost unbroken from a month ago with the stupid KKK nonsense.

Mathematically, how the fuck does he win? Hillary is going to laugh herself into the Oval Office, and we'll all be worse for it.

And don't say the FBI will stop her. The dems could easily put in Biden and still win, because Trump can't stop self-imploding.

Trump is stumping Trump.
>>
trump is a master debater, he will make shillary look stupid and weak in the general election

shillary already can barely handle sanders in a debate
>>
>gaffes

know how i can tell you let the media decide everything for you?
>>
>>69415766

nigger, I've been supporting Trump since August. I know exactly how much the media is twisting his words. But you can't deny his answers are so ill thought out that they're practically begging to be manipulated.

If you think the American public isn't going to be influenced by the constant media barrage, you're delusional. Trump has no discipline, otherwise he could've put this away already.

>>69415749

Shillary IS stupid and weak, but Trump is absolutely wrecking himself and making himself look stupid as fuck.

Honestly? It probably doesn't matter. Objectively speaking Trump is a terrible presidential candidate and should not be commander and chief. The most important thing he has done is to instead loudly and confidently stand up against the regressive left and not give a fuck about the accusations they throw at him and his supporters, accusations that would have crippled or ruined other politicians in the past. His support is also broad across age groups and socioeconomic demographics which suggests that what he has mobilized will have some staying power, unlike Bernouts who think walking in Ralph Nader's footsteps of pandering to college age kids and other immature retards will lead to a different result, which will now have the motivation to actually be vocal against regressive leftism.

Other than reading the Art of the Deal for you i'll say;
>Trump and/or the media
Two words.

Love offensive.

Instantly, Trump's outpouring of love for the same people that the media narrative says he hates and is racist against hits the fact that people consider racists and bigots to be hateful and lacking compassion. What racist or bigot could profess love for the same people that it is said he hates?

His gaffes are part of him and his appeal, he's not a politician by nature or by career, so he hasn't been groomed to talk 'correctly' as politicians do, and despite his showings as crazy man who doesn't know much, that's not what you elect a president on - a president can't run all the departments of the government or know everything. You vote for someone who you believe will toil to get the job done with the right people, to keep the country secure and to allow you to get on with your life, and for the middle american, the independent, that is the most important thing. Not someone who professes pure honesty and good virtues, a lie in politics.

Now, let's separate the Trump that is rude and commits what should in other times be called gaffes from the real Trump, the man who is currently campaigning for the nominee and knows how to persuade voters and talks about making deals in such terms transparently in his own books. You can read that yourself, it's quite easily there, and to reinforce, look at Trump being called up as an expert at the time of the 90's Mortgage crisis, and in the Scottish Parliament, to differentiate from the momentary media character.

Even those 'gaffes' you talk about are forgotten almost as soon are they created, and by the time we get to the general election, the whole array of jibes and smears and gaffes will have been emptied out - America will have seen them all, and grown a resistance. By then, we'll see the Presidential Trump, the man that even the regulars can back, hell, we're already seeing Donald act and play the part.
>>
>>69416723

Yeah, if there were an actually good candidate on either side, Trump would be in real trouble and probably wouldn't have gotten this far. He really lucked out that this year there were nothing but weaklings and villains on both sides. The GOP has been fucking pathetic for years, and the DNC is just Hillary's mafia.

Still, unless something completely unprecedented happens, Hillary will easily win over him. Trump's doing the math for her.
>>
>>69417480
tl;dr, read Scott Adams' master persuader set of articles.

Additionally, ethnic pandering and apologies where you are not in the wrong are weak and show that you do not actually believe what you said.

You can't be the smart man, with the perfect response, all of the time. A lot of the time, that just gets nowhere, with people too afraid to get down to brass tacks and be brash, be strong in their tone and their actions, instead of laying about like wanna-be philosopher kings.

I read Art of the Deal a decade ago. I've seen all those videos. I can still see that Trump is making his own life miserable.

After Super Tuesday, he should've started pivoting. Stop with the insane bullshit, don't even go after Rubio, it's pointless, the little fucker self-destructed. Act like the frontrunner, actually BE PRESIDENTIAL and he would've cleaned up in the polls, crossed 50% in some states, and pretty much had the nomination in the bag by now.

Instead, he let the media pull him off track with KKK nonsense and it's been a whole month of gaffe after gaffe. His numbers haven't gone up even with Rubio's exit, the party is more antagonist towards him than ever, and his numbers with minority groups continues to crater in unprecedented ways.

THIS is strategic?!? This is fucking nuts, his route to the White House would've been so fucking easy if he had even a modicum of discipline, people already hate $Hillary and that alone would've given him a boost. Instead, he's thrown all his chances away and terrified the public into her grubby hands, and made himself even LESS likable than her! Hillary couldn't wreck him any more than he is wrecking himself. And at this point, she won't even have to life a fucking finger to attack him, he's doing all the work for her.

A sizable portion of these are entering the Republican primary for the sole reason of voting AGAINST Trump. The elevated Republican turnout is not so much reflective of how the electorate is energized to beat the Dems in November, but is to a large degree a manifestation of the ongoing national referendum taking place on Trump.

Indeed, these are quite often the margin of victory in close open primary states. Which proves out another thing: Trump is NOT the natural choice of the Republican leaning voter. Correspondingly, he would not enjoy the benefits of the general election R-leaning voter.

There are not enough Webb voters in the world to make up for all those people who typically vote Republican who---for varying reasons---wouldn't support him in the general. This is why he keeps getting BTFO by Hillary in the matchup polling.

It's going to be a four way race. Trump and Bernie run as independents, Hillary runs as the Democratic nominee while the GOP puts up whatever bullshit they decide.

Don't tell me you guys fell for it... you didn't did you? :^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^)

Seriously though, he has absolutely fucked the GOP. They can't not nominate him because he'll just run as independent and ruin their chances completely. And his chances so far seem pretty low.

This is a loser strategy, short term and long term. It is fantastically inadvisable to try to make one party "white friendly." This is how you marginalize the majority ethnicity, by playing divide and conquer identity politics games under rules invented by Democrats. Your strategy actually empowers them to do a thing they want to do anyway; to divest themselves of having to rely so much on middle class whites. Because they know what you seem to forget, that in our two party system both parties will have their share of power over time, and with demographics trending away from whites. What you SHOULD want is to have BOTH parties courting the white voter, which is accomplished by showing to Democrats the fallacy of their designs. They have to lose, not on the basis of race (for then they need only to wait for power to devolve upon them in the next change election, with their demo advantage growing) but to higher principles. Principles in which other ethnicities can share---or at least don't oppose such that it brings them out to the polls in great numbers.

If you're not of the opinion that whites don't benefit in fair system (an actual one, not the one implied through Dem rhetoric which is code for favoritism towards the non-white), then you are the enemy within, servant of the tactics invented for use against you, and a natural cuck.

There are actually procedures where the DNC can replace a withdrawn candidate within a given timeline without a convention. Precedent exists with the replacement of Democrat Vice Presidential nominee Eagleton with Shriver in 1972 after it was revealed that Eagleton underwent electroshock therapy. Eagleton withdrew after the convention and was replaced by the DNC. It can be done.
>>

Hillary will not be indicted, exactly for this reason. You think Obama will have his DOJ formally charge his successor in an election year when Trump is the opponent?! LOL

>>69431449
You fucking demented anarchists are going to meme Trump's candidacy straight into the garbage can. If he listened to actual advice and improved himself, we wouldn't be in this dangerous scenario.

>>69431715
Trump was stupid to do it, just like all of his gaffes have been easily avoidable unforced errors. There's so many ways to hit McCain, but his war record and POW experience? There are no Trump supporters that stand behind that, they all ignore it. The public won't.
>>
>>69415559
A better question just how do you figure Hillary wins without cheating?

Bernie voters, the morons that put obama in office twice just won't vote if she's the nominee. She has all the appeal of a dried up dog turd. No one wanted her the last time she ran and LOST. So go ahead explain how you figure she wins?

Unless she gets away with cheating and then of course none of it really mattered in the first place did it.
>>
>>69431471
Perhaps, but again, yours is anecdotal evidence, going in one direction. You suppose the swelling of support you can see is universal, and have discounted the corresponding depressive effect Trump has on those who don't share your worldview. The party is not unifying behind him, and he is not attempting to unify it (else, he's utterly failing to unify it with himself as the focal point). This is a monumental gamble that he in short order can forge a new coalition, but the evidence shows him falling further and further behind.

heheheheh, cuck.
>>
>>69421453
That is most likely true.

However, that doesn't equate to higher cost of living. The higher taxes will be offset by reduced expenses for health care and higher education for lower income individuals and the middle class.

Returning the minimum wage to 1968 (11 dollar) levels (or higher) would lead to some minor "structural inflation" for non-minimum earners, but would stimulate consumption at the bottom and middle (due to globalization, this wouldn't lead to higher commodity prices, assuming ceteris paribus).

Trust-busting the banks would also lead to higher "velocity of money" and also stimulate economic activity.

All of these together would certainly offset slightly higher taxes being placed on low income earners.

Honestly, 4chan needs to turn to Bernie for a good candidate because Trump is a Titanic. But we won't because too much is invested now.

If it makes you feel any better NO Republican't would have won anyway so Trump was just there to make the show about him.

If anything I am proud that he has probably had the most insane year of any man in human history and will be legendary for decades to come. I am just going to mentally accept a Hillary win and pray for a Trump win.

>If he listened to actual advice and improved himself, we wouldn't be in this dangerous scenario.
Question: how can he listen to the people when his campaign strategy is predicated on preaching at his audience? He's either on television half the time, where his audience is a passive observer (and the people he's interacting with are the major media types), or he's giving his practiced stump speech from behind a podium, to an audience trained to react in a specific way that it reflects positively on him. Social media aside, he doesn't allow himself the chance to listen to the advice of those who support him (save those of the professional advisory class).

This is how Trump answers his abortion question the way he did. Because he didn't come by his new position through consideration after diverse input of the average citizen, but by its politics, and is not familiar with what the pro-life community (the same he wants to have behind him) thinks.

I don't see that style of his changing any time soon.

He hasn't "made a gaffe" yet. The only people he's really alienated are the elites and the morons. The good thing about the morons is that they're manipulable. Their opinion can be completely reshaped at will. The elites are trickier, but once Trump clenches the nomination they'll really have no choice to back him, at least on the republican side. Then he just has to defeat hildebeest, who is basically beating herself.

First of all, Trump will snatch black voters. He already alluded to the possibility, and I believe once he secures GOP nomination (and won't have to worry about securing white supremacist vote anymore) his campaign will start aggressively target urban blacks. I can't wait for the sound of collective anus explosion on /pol/ when Trump announces his African-American running mate.

Second key group are Sanders voters. It may seem even more counterintuitive - after all, didn't Berniefags violently disrupt Trump rallies, and aren't the two groups the opposite of each other? In fact, Sanders and Trump are similar in many aspects: they both oppose current economic policies, they are both against "trade" deals like TTIP, they both believe internal spending is the key to economic rebuilding, they both want to bring back real economy to America. Clinton already started to court "moderate" (establishment) Republicans who hate Trump, snatching Sanders supporters is perfectly logical move.

Also, I don't think he would fare against Clinton that bad among the general electorate. Clinton is an experienced politician with a lot of skeletons in her closet (email scandal, Benghazi, hawkishness, Clinton Foundation...) and it can be used to attack her, while Trump has no political experience whatsoever and thus can look incorruptible compared to her.
>>
>>69428174

Simply put, he should listen to his wife. She sounds like a smart cookie. Part of getting the nomination IS convincing people you're capable of being truly presidential. He really cannot put the cart before the horse now. Things are hanging in the balance, I can just feel it. This needs to be a turning point where he takes control of it all and dominates with strength and maturity, not attacks and dramatics. I don't know how to explain it better than that. But I want to see him do it, so badly.

Not a chance. Trump has made it clear that he is hiring based on merit, not quotas. Carson is going to get a role in education, but there isn't a black person who exists that could qualify as 2ic.

>Meaning of those very big numbers turning out on the Repubican side? A sizable portion of these are entering the Republican primary for the sole reason of voting AGAINST Trump.

No, not exactly.

Many are simply voting FOR the candidate they choose. It's not incomprehensible that many idiots actually like Kasich, Cruz, Rubio etc.

Also, the massive turnout in very much a vote against, not Trump but OBAMA. Republicans hate him. They want him out and they do NOT want another even remotely like him in office.

It's the classic Napoleon dilemma, a guy comes out of nowhere with startling brilliance and bashes his enemies out of the way, then can't respond when his enemies regroup and subvert his tactics because he can't get over his own ego.

Trump and some of his idiotic fans think that because he's miraculously gotten to this point, that the same chest-beating will win victory in November. Trump won't listen to reason until the tide turns against him, at which point it will have been too late. Arguably, it already is too late.

Being a maverick and an uncontrolled chaotic force worked wonders during the primaries and Trump should get credit for that. Now it is only serving to undo his progress and jeopardize his entire endeavor.

The choice for Trump is clear: Adapt, or die. The distinction could not be more clear, the consequences could not be more severe.
>>
>>69416723
I agreed
When the primaries are over I am going to register to vote for trump regardless whether or not he has the chance to win.

My vote is a symbolic vote.
I vote for the rebel, the outcast, the hated. He is the only Candidate that thinks for himself and makes his own mind up.

Even Roger Stone realizes the bluster isn't working:

>You were critical of Trump back in the summer for his attacks on Megyn Kelly. He's obviously kept at it. Do you stand by your criticism of him for that? And what do you say to this bigger charge against him that he's a misogynist ?

>He's definitely not a misogynist. I think his daughter gives a lie to that with her own firsthand testimony. It's an unfair rap. I think he's much stronger when he talks about his core issues. Why deviate from trade, the safety of our streets, our fiscal disaster, our enormous debt, international trade deals that are killing this country? As long as he continues to talk about those things, I think he will be propelled forward. I think anything else is a distraction.
