Hi /pol, I am an average American worker. I support Trump. I can not trust our politicians because they get checks from corporations. I was interviewed today at work and this is what I had to say. I was the first interview wearing my Make America Great Again hat.

>Tldr; 8.7 billion tax payer dollars laying off American workers.
>>
>>69333955
They sent your jobs to china. Sorry brother, it's fucked up here too. Best of luck with the elections.
>>
>>69333955

the left fucked up by letting labor move overseas.

since then, the left has had nothing but identity politics to rest on.
>>
>>69334126
Does the left even acknowledge the lost jobs?
What's their response?
>>
>>69333955
Boeing has 161,400 employees; 4000 is nothing. Just some excess fat. Relax MAGA boys.

Industry is destroyed by the financial system

The FED hands trillions to Goldman Sachs who keep it all while the real economy is left to decay. That's why no matter how many million you give to Boeing it doesn't matter because the real economy is being destroyed by Wall Street.

The solution is to bail out taxpayers and not Wall Street.

Washington is a democrat stronghold. How do republicans fit in your argument?
>>
>>69334782
But Boeing also operates out of Wichita, which is in Kansas, a Republican stronghold.

I'm not saying it makes sense. I'm saying that they blame Republicans for shit being so bad, then people vote in Democrats, who make shit worse, but blame it on Republicans in the hopes that fools will still buy into the Democrat dream.

No matter how bad things get, Democrats never want to stop any of their programs. They just think that it needs even more tax money to succeed.

Deal with it. It's cheaper in China. Don't bitch about Boeing about cutting jobs (this really is an overglorified version of whining about being fired, stop being fucking lazy and get off your ass and find another job. Else, there's another reason at play for why you can't find a job.

Blame the very source of the problem as to why it is more beneficial for corporations to move to China.

Else, tell me why not. Why the fuck shouldn't I blame the source of the problem? Why should I blame Boeing instead, and focus directly on this one company out of thousands that are moving their production to China?

I know I'm being a dick here and repeating myself but come the fuck on man.
>>
>A company spokesman said about 1,600 positions will go through voluntary redundancies while the rest will take place through attrition.

>The bulk of the layoffs is set to come from its commercial aircraft division as customers cut back on orders.

So a bunch of people will be offered packages to leave and the company will just stop hiring people for a while.

>Boeing delivered a record 762 planes last year, exceeding its previous forecast. However, last year saw a big fall in new orders. Customers in the Middle East and Asia, who had been on a spending spree, have been cutting back. As of 31 December, Boeing's backlog of orders stood at 5,795, representing more than seven and a half years of production at the current rate. With Boeing and Airbus factories running at full capacity, airlines have been reluctant to spend billions of dollars on aircraft that they would not receive for several years.

Not a big deal, considering airbus is going through the same thing with everyone who wants new aircraft in the next few years having already ordered them.
>>
>>69333955
Reading into this story, it doesn't say anywhere that the jobs are being outsourced. The company is just straight up cutting all of it's costs in an attempt to restructure. Really don't know how you're tying Trump, Clinton and the Feds into this
>>
>>69334250

They don't acknowledge it.
>>
>>69334942
I could see it coming, honestly. It's why I quit (was an electrician), and took a pay cut to work in a publicly owned power plant. 3rd shift work means I get paid to post on 4chan. Public work means that I don't worry about getting fired.

I still make enough to live comfortably.
>>
>>69335006

Jobs are in fact being outsourced. The company just covers it up by outsourcing to Boeing vendors. That makes it look like everything is staying in house.

>>

True, but I'm the only city employee besides police that works 3rd shift (county does the ER), and electric production is also the only place that has a second shift.

It's essentially one employee that takes hourly readings, and wakes city people up if you have a pipe break, a 200lb tree limb fall in the road, a sign stolen, or an electrical line go down after hours. You call me, I pick up and get your call where it needs to go.

Boeing is not doing anything corrupt or illegal. It's just plain capitalism.
>>
>>69333955

Nothing strange. Not first time Boeing is outsourcing shit to China. They would also outsource production of their military contracts to China in heartbeat if those contracts wouldn't stipulate domestic production.

Boeing is bring all your jobs to India with the Make in India innitiative. You cannot stop any thing because, your wages are too high and if your government imposes more taxes, the company will move it's headquarters to France or some c*cked country.

They moved to very conservative attitudes once the banks fully took hold.
>muh free market

Sanders is the only one shitting up that narrative, but it's Sanders lol. I guess Hillary took notice of his support and started giving lip-service about bad trade deals, but everyone knows she'll say anything politically expedient at a single time and then later flip flop.

There are rumors that regular union people this time (not the management, of course) are flipping to Trump.
>>
>>69334942
Because they've been floated by our tax dollars. What a shit deal to have been publicly subsidizing this company and then for them to turn tail and take all that value out of the country and lay off thousands of workers.

I don't normally get pissed off about this, but if they really *have* received 1 billion+ in tax money, it's fucking disgusting.
