The Grand Coalition of Christian Democrats and Social Democrats in Germany is at a measly 52% in polls. If this trend continues, even if they go for another Grand Coalition next time - which is not a given - they will not have the majority.
It should also be noted that the real percentage of AfD votes always was higher than in forecast polls, because more AfD supporters actually vote.
The opposite is true for the mainstream parties, their supporters tend to be more prone to refrain from voting.

The problem is that the Linke makes it impossible for any other party to form a coaliation with them. They are far too anticapitalistic for our CDU, SPD and Greens (parties for rich university graduates).
Most likely, there will be a CDU-SPD-Greens coaliation in 2017, which is going to destroy our system for good, but this is exactly what we need right now.
