I always felt that the big thing between the Anglo-Saxons and Nordic cultures was the weird Semi-Christian but sort of anti-Roman church religious identity of the Anglo-Saxons. Question: Why does everyone say English is retarded mode easy to learn? I studied Spanish (Spain, not Mexico) and it truly is a simple, phonetic language. Compared to aspects of German, English, French or Dutch, Spanish is a walk in the fucking park. Is English really that easy?

I'm not sure, but it could be because English lacks all genders and almost all declensions. Verb conjugation is ultra-simple for the most part and you just rely on word order. Perhaps that makes it easy to learn.
