And that's all fine. But now my habits have me moving in the same circles of /pol/ and /r/the_donald. I can't step out to dacebook or any other online source, because the bullshit detector goes haywire and I have to turn away, lest I get sucked into a frustrating argument with morons.
So I stay in the same old circles.
But it's a hugbox of the same ideas and thoughts. We are all repeating to each other what we want to hear. I feel myself being radicalized more every day. I am finding myself WANTING an outbreak of violence. I want to break liberal faces for their fucking brainwashed self righteous idiocy. I've been redpilling my male friends (at a count of 4 now), and losing my female friends (at a count of 2 now).
My question is does anyone share this worry? That you're being radicalized by these hugboxes for the right wing and that this is ultimately unhealthy and an exaggeration of how things really are? I don't brush up against SJWs in my everyday life, and i live in fucking Melbourne of all places (the Portland of Australia).
Has the extremism of the left just been hyped up within these right wing hugboxes, with the consequence of a growing but unwarranted, outraged nationalist extremism (with more and more potential for violence)? If so, what should I do about it?

My problem with entertaining "the other side" is that they are axiomatically incorrect. Their beliefs do not stand up to reality. If they did, they would be represented here, as they would be actually winning arguments.

I am having no issue in my social life as a result of my political views, or my frustrations. I had a hiccup with some feminist female friends, but I genuinely couldn't care less.
My frustration is regarding the lack of reliable, unbiased information sources on the current social and political state of the world. My options seem to be either right wing hugboxes like pol, or left wing hugboxes like facebook or reddit or anywhere else.
I was curious if anyone else had this frustration, or gave it thought.
No information source is infallible. I'd just like some alternatives that are palatable. Currently I find anywhere else to be a bit too propaganda-y for me to swallow.

They don't exist. Everything has some degree of bias (in fact the biggest thing to watch for is places that claim to be unbiased, when they are not).
The trick is to take in all sources (Other country's media is particularly useful. Nothing hurts quite as much as the truth - though don't just blindly swallow it) and process the information yourself, knowing what their biases are, thus allowing your to put the information in its proper context. It's a lot of hard work, but it is the only way.

Reuters is fairly good at just getting news (rather than say ABC or BBC).
I personally tend to steer clear of most of the right wing net meeja as it usually has it's own agenda (as has been suggested already) or it lacks ANY balance.
