If you believe as I do that the economy will take years to stabilize and recover, then silver and gold are more or less worthless. It looks like silver is starting a 1-3 year rise, but will doubt it go higher than ~24$. I think silver still needs some time to recharge after last bubble, probably 2022 should be a good year to invest into silver.
Don't get me wrong, you may pay more for silver in 2022, but the question: "is is it worth to freeze your money for so long".
Also looks like BTC is getting stronger and there is a chance for 600$/BTC in next 4 months. So it's probably better to invest in BTC.

You should take about 20-30% of your savings out of cash and move them into silver.
Minimum I would invest is 5k, so if you dont have atleast 25k in savings, silver is not a particularly useful investment for you, because your return on a few hundred dollars is going to be.. a few hundred dollars.

Investing is good to get into early and you should add some of your paycheque to it just to learn how to do it. But you will only be able to retire once you have 300-500k in play diversified over many different sectors. Banks. metals, currencies and property are all no brainers for future long term profit.
I would keep my money out of Tech, Insurance and Building because that shit is set to implode in a horrific credit crunch that will wipe out thousands of Chinese millionaires.
And silver is by no means risk free. At the moment it's just a good buy, strong USD has kept it lower than it should be.
