Therefore, there is no correlation between Republican turnout and Hillary's lead. BECAUSE REPUBLICANS WERE GIVEN A DIFFERENT BALLOT THAT DIDN'T HAVE HILLARY'S NAME ON IT.
The DNC hasn't been working on registering new voters this primary season, because it's common knowledge most of them would be Sanders supporters. Hillary wins by keeping Democrats away from the primaries and caucuses.

People whose candidate is losing in the primary would shill really hard by claiming that they will vote for the opposing party during primary election if their candidate don't win. They hope that the poll result would scare people and push them to vote for their candidate during primary. Meanwhile, voters of the leading candidate are content and confident with the lead. They would offer a more honest answer on whom they would vote for in general election since they know that their candidate will win the primary already. They wouldn't have motive to pick the opposing party, especially someone like clinton, in the poll.
