Hey, /pol/. Question:
Would it be somehow possible to sustain a powerful military, like the one the US has today, without taxes?
I've been playing with the idea of getting rid of taxes and thinking about the Libertarian's whole "taxation is theft" spiel. I can see how things like education, road maintenance, education, etc. could be privatized, but what about the military? I suppose the military could be privatized if it were allowed, but I don't know how I feel about private companies having military power. Thoughts?

A military as "strong" as the US military is pointless unless it's going to actually conquer things.
