The funny thing about drives to push for characters in stories to be diverse is that they don't want the characters to be flawed, so th characters in the stories that are anything but straight white men are also boring and near perfect, while the white men ending up being more interesting because they're alcoholic messy pricks with a fucked up past and they make mistakes, in other words they are human.
