>mfw Trump is a protectionist
Why does /pol/ support someone who hates free trade and liberty?
>>69138789
Rand Paul is the President we need, not the President we deserve...
RIP RAND PAUL
>>69138789
It's freedom for citizens, not for foreigners trying to undermine our workers.
>>69139601
Rand cucked himself for the establishment. That's why he lost the backing of the liberty movement.
Ron Paul was our only hope
Because the other candidates hate liberty even more
>>69138789
Unchecked free trade is a meme
don't care about your response, just wanted to trigger you
yfw free trade does shit all
yfw literal manlets advocate for it
>>69138789
Our current free trade is a one way street going right up your ass.
there is no such thing as free trade. trade is an endless game between governments - unless you decide to throw away all your leverage into a mult-nation trade deal. after that, it's just taking it the ass.
>>69138789
Free trade fucks over our workers no thanks.
Nationalism > capitalism
>having free trade with workers that get paid 7 dollars a day
>libertarians will defend this
>>69138789
capitalism is only good if you win
>>69140916
What's wrong with workers getting paid $7 a day?
Gotta have free trade the most economically liberal countries will be the most successful this is a fact
>>69140916
haha yeah liberty is so dumb
also we should give up our guns
Free trade keeps prices low on the things we import.
I'm all for free trade, protectionism tends to have unforeseen consequences in the economy.
>protect one job, lose 5
Kinda see it actually working in the current economic climate though. China is devaluating the shit out of their currency and the things we import from them are mostly cheap bullshit we don't actually need. So the cost of your electronics and Walmart toys might go up, but important shit like food will remain cheap.
Time will tell.
>>69138789
We cannot compete with slave labor, Rand. They will bring us down to their level if we do not have some sort of protectionist policy.
>>69141292
Slavery is bad if we aaren't allowed to do it
>>69138789
Because my home town is now a fucking shithole with no jobs.
I guess it turns out Ron was wrong about free trade.
Free trade is nothing but a merchant trick.
>>69141578
If someone gets paid $7 a day and he agrees to do the job it means that noone will fuckin pay him better and if you take $7 a day job away he will starve. It's still better to have a bowl of rice than be hungry.
>>69141444
free trade is free like free beer, for the globalists not like the free in free speech
