Those houses were literally built 100% by illegals working minimum wage. I can't imagine how much home prices will rise after builders are forced to pay $30 an hour to a lazy cum skin that can't work a hammer.

mfw I built hundreds of these stick houses.
>>
>>69131501
log houses are comfy. particle board/drywall sheds don't even qualify as houses.
>>
>>69131300
That's brick. And we can afford it, it's just not as good as other modern options.

Some people still choose to frame their houses with brick, stone and cement but not all that many.

Bricks are cooked mud.
>>
It's not 1838 anymore. Wood and drywall are extremely cheap. It's why houses are so cheap here compared to the rest of the western world.

Hole in the wall? $20 trip at Home Depot. Tornado rips through your house? Insurance will get you a new house and in the end you'd still end up paying less than a single brick house in Europe.

Now I'm not defending our housing market. Greedy jews have been flooding it with shitty, poorly made houses. But it's not because the material, it's because they get a bunch of illegal immigrants to quickly throw together a house, most of which don't know what they're doing.
>>
>>69132468
They're actually very solid. Treated 2x4s and plywood/chip board is more resistant to decay, is tough and lasts forever.
>>
>>69131300
Brick houses? Like Nicaragua or El Salvador?
>>
>>69132858
I wouldn't blame the illegals. Most of them are just following orders from the foreman and contractor which are usually Americans looking to make a quick buck during a high period of the housing market.
>>
Doesn't matter. Everything is sheathed curtain wall construction these days, even in Yurp.

Only druids and Mexicans do stacked stone construction these days. We have that shit up in 1880 when we decided to build taller than 5 stories without flying buttresses.
>>
>>69130462

Why the fuck do yuropoors always call timber framed houses pieces of shit while they build houses out of cooked mud and call it a bomb shelter? Fuck bricks. Shit cracks, is time consuming to build, and no stronger.

Sure its a shitty house but it only costs 5k to make plus this was taken 2 years ago which is forever in technological advancement. Give it another 5-10 years and all homes will be built like this.

Hell we might even build the wall like this you have to go back. Imagine it a bunch of whites watching machines build the wall while we laugh at you on the other side.

>>
>>69134819
>said the wood shoed windmill nigger, that will never in his life own a house
>>
>>69130462

Because size of house and perception of wealth is all that matters. It doesn't matter that your house is made of plywood and cardboard, completely uninsulated and made from cheap materials, in a neighbourhood with 200 other houses that are the exact same as yours. It doesn't matter though because you got it pretty cheap (just 50 years of paying the bank left hehe) and it makes you look rich!

I'd rather live in a properly made 100 square meter house on a nice piece of land rather than a 300 square meter America house in an American suburb

Americans literally build houses that have minimal insulation in areas where the climate includes actual seasons, it's unbelievable. protip: insulation is good for hot temperatures as well as it keeps the temperatures INSULATED meaning you don't have to have the AC on full blast 24/7 just to keep the temperature manageable.

Yes.
2.200 sq foot are about 200 sq meters - you also live in a tiny kekshed.
And your 18 inch poured concrete with rebar inserts walls are not rpg safe. 18 inches are about 45 cm. The rpg has a penetration capability of 150 cm against reinforced concrete. The walls would survive with a big hole - but you would die behind them.
>>

>>69135787
how bad would it be to live there as a white american? I actually have enough cash to buy that and live off the rest of my savings forever
>>
>>69135641

Yeah but you have to live in South Africa among those kind people.
>>
>>69133292
That much money would get you 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and at least an acre of surrounding land in my home county.

I'm no expert but I guess given your population density that's worth it.

You ought to get to know a house before buying though; foundation weakness, flooding chance/elevation, age of plumbing and wiring et cetera.
>>
>>69135204

It's actually 4 houses all with a nice backyard in a new white neighbourhood. Selling an apartment is a nightmare in the Netherlands and your ticket on becoming financially raped.
>>
>>69136013

>not owning land
>not planting trees on that land
>not selling the trees yearly to logging companies
>not building on that land with all your easily-earned money
When my mom died, I received about fifty acres of land (they had a hundred acres total, split between myself and a sibling). My mom had been planting trees on that land and having lumber companies come cut it all down, rinse and repeat, until the day she died. Made an easy five figures a year doing that.

Anyway, I started doing exactly what she did. I make less money than she did (because I have half the land to plant/cut down), but with the money I have saved, I plan to set aside a few acres on a corner of the property to build a home within the next few years.

During my search for a nice condo in Northern Dakota I checked the prices in Bismarck. And I couldn't find anything decent below 400k there, maybe 250-300k at best.

In Missouri however you could find okay stuff for 30k and really good ones for 240k. So, like everywhere in the world, it depends mostly on the location and other factors. The price of the house itself is just one part of the equation. You can also find houses for 130k in Germoney.

But if the maintenance costs are truly this low, that is indeed a better price-performance-ratio.

American building codes aren't bad at all. They could definitely stand to be updated, and personally I'd like to see all timbers phased out of residential construction.

We're using timber from tree farms who have genetically modified trees made to grow as fast as possible. The turn over rate is very good, but the wood isn't as dense as an old growth tree. We're framing 16" center, hurricane clips aren't standard everywhere yet, but lots of companies use them anyway. Standard concrete coated sinkers will be bolstered by an additional self tapping screw if you want to pay the added labor. It goes a long way to increasing the frame's strength which is needed if you live in a hurricane zone or in tornado alley.
All of that is run of the mill, but at the end of the day you still end up with a giant pile of match sticks as far as the structure's ability to resist a burn. Non flammable insulation can be used, and there are insulating expanding foams that we use which are either "fire block" or "fire stop" but they're both bandaids on the real problem.
Don't even get me started on dry wall.

I'd like to see preformed aluminum or steel beams in framing, chemically treated cotton or wool insulation, and plastic composite sheet rock. We can achieve higher R values, the insulation never rots, the structure can bear more weight, and withstand much higher winds. You won't get any of this unless you work with a contractor familiar with commercial developments, but if enough people lobbied for building codes to be updated then things would change.

Definitely. You get this property for that kind of money here:

340 m^2 living space in main house (3 bedroom, three others, and kitchen).
21000 m^2 land (five acres or so)
Wine cellar, such amenities
Some other minor buildings?

building codes are the floor of american construction standards.

Your local jurisdiction's politics (plaintiff's side vs. defense side) really determine the "industry standards" for construction where you live.

That doll house is pretty nice, especially if it's on the beach or close to it. And I really like the American habit to build on one floor with large rooms and high ceiling. Living in a 3 story house atm which was built for a large family in the 50s with tiny rooms and that's not really doing it for me anymore. I generally find the American condos and ranch or colonial style house a lot more appealing from an aesthetical standpoint. Only our studwork houses can compete, if you like the style.

Wood has a superior weight to strength ratio, and houses built this way are structurally sound. They are also much better insulated as wood itself is insulating, and there is adequate space for fiberglass insulation. This home will likely be finished with a brick or stucco exterior.

Plywood is just exterior sheathing. It gets covered in vapor barrier before the siding is put on, the inside of exterior walls is filled with ample insulation, unless the builder really cheaps out.

What part of "45 minutes from the fourth largest city" did you not understand? It's also 2 hours from the capital, by car. Isn't that like the average American morning commute? That property I linked is not by any definition in the middle of nowhere.

We're all musicians, so someone is almost always plinking a piano or plucking a guitar. More insulation also means "house sounds" like HVAC are dampened when you're recording.

But why are we off the subject? Dick Van Head here autistically dodged the inference. The inference is that there are plenty of CB homes in the U.S. Furthermore, wood is a modern building material.

Look, I'd be mad too if my entire fucking continent had to be bailed out by the same country twice in the last century, but this is just low-class.

Instead of spending your tax return and disposable income on stupid shit, save it and buy some land. $2000/acre for essentially jungle property no-one wants. Invite a logging company to come out to clear your land for you; offer to take less money for the job, they'll be falling all over themselves to come get your wood. Odds are, you'll make back what you spent on the land, or real close to it. Hire a bunch of Mexicans outside your local Home Depot to plant trees for you, or plant them yourselves to increase profit. Rinse and repeat.

Seriously, the stuff I have out there right now isn't even fully grown yet and I get monthly calls from lumber companies looking to clear my land.

Anyone can do it, it's just that most of you sperglings either don't have a job, or you're too fucking lazy. There's money to be made everywhere, just gotta find where it is.

we have literally all of these in the US. Texas is bigger than half of Europe you faggots, the US is a large country and anything you have we have as well in some part of the country. we even have our own river cities like Italy that are a lot less polluted.

the shittiest European designs are in the US as well, as well as the most beautiful European designs. free market and a lot of land etc allows us to build our fantasy homes if we choose. the average American wouldn't do this however as he is trying to raise a family quickly and effectively while working his full time job, so he just settles for a common pre-blueprinted house or apartment if you're a lazy cuck. when retired, the average non cuck looks for his dream home to settle down until death, selling his old market home to create his own.

WE CAN BUILD YOU WHATEVER YOU PAY US TO BUILD FOR YOU.

We do have cosy houses, they are just a very small % of the total housing stock in this country since the post-WWII planners decided to throw up ugly, massive housing estates everywhere. And they cost a tonne, too.

If we had a shrinking population, we could remove more of the ugly post-WWII housing, but our population is growing maybe the fastest in Western Europe, so I guess we cannot afford to knock many of the ugly estates down..... *sigh*.

In the UK you sometimes get things called "character" properties, which normally mean they're quite nice and maybe have something interesting about them.

For instance, when I was looking for a flat, I looked at one apartment which was a former bank, and the toilet was where the vault used to be, and they had kept the 5 inch thick metal door to use as the door to the toilet, which was cool.

A property which has character.

flooring in bathroom and kitchen
kitchen counter tops
