Not gonna happen. You don't just stick an independent candidate in there and expect people to vote for him over Clinton or Trump. I doubt this independent candidate would even win a single state, to be honest. What would happen is that the GOP vote would be split inside every state, leading to a situation where the vast majority of states go to the Democratic party. Hillary wins in a landslide.
