There are four fundamental reasons a woman will be with a man. Power (including money), looks, personality, and pressure.
Clearly Cruz is significantly less attractive than the alleged lays and has the personality of a dish rag so we can count those out. I can't imagine that already significant political presences were pressured by third parties into banging him, so that leaves power.
Which makes a great deal of sense when you consider the 500,000 smackeroonies doled out by a Cruz PAC to Fiorina's PAC shortly before she endorsed him, and the undisclosed Goldman Sachs loan (issued when Cruz' wife was still a chair there!) that was probably used for mysterious purposes.
Cruz had multiple affairs- I can absolutely assure you this is true, or else he'd have sued or threatened to sue the Enquirer; but he's not going to sue them if he can't win, and he won't threaten to sue, get called out, then back off and look guiltier than he already does; which he'd have to do, since the allegations are true.
Much like with John Edwards, where he and his mistress denied the Enquirers' claims but never threatened legal action despite Edwards being wealthy and high profile; had the claims been false it'd be an easy case and a lucrative one he could exploit to pad his pockets with tens of millions with great ease. But how can Cruz, like Edwards years ago, count on his inner circle rising to help defend him when it's clear the allegations are true?
Drew Johnson from WaTi already confirmed two of the affairs were, to his inside knowledge, true; if I had to guess I'd say those two specific cases are Carpenter and Flores. Pierson has also denied the allegations, but that's to be expected since she's riding the Trump Train.
Expect, within a week or two, more info to leak, either via Enquirer or elsewhere. Now that Shapiro Shalom is out at Breitbart we may see some scoops there too.
