Very funny thread. I teach computer science. Maybe 50% of our students are international, mainly from India.
About 1 in 10 Indian students are competent (and that might be generous). We actually had to have a meeting specifically to address the amount of cheating done by Indian students (apparently it's "their culture"). So that 1 in 10 does all the work, and the other 9 hand it in most of the time without even changing the name on their assignment, code, etc...
The only reason we allow international Indian students is because we change them literally 3x more tuition.

a) they tend to observe what has been done and replicate this 1:1. they do however not seem to fully comprehend the context of WHY it appears the way it does.
