On the advice of a friend who as it turns out had not actually lived in the area since the 1980s, we moved to a town in Prince George's County, Maryland. I grew up in an area with a sizeable Pakistani population .. So I was aware from an early age that there were more 'differences' than just the skin colour.
I was never afraid of admitting to myself I was racist, but I feared other people calling me it. And although I had racial feelings I was still pretty laid back with it.
Then 9/11 happened, and the 7/7 bombing, and I noticed how many kids they had compared to us. I began to realise how much bigger the Muslim problem was than I thought.
This lead me to trying to find the truth. My racial awakening was long and thorough. I learned about blacks. I learned about white genocide. I learned about the jews.
