Just a quick reminder that Donald Trump is a laughably mediocre businessman.

Over the last 30 years, his investments have performed comparably to low-risk mutual funds. Absolutely bare minimum performance.

If Donald Trump had invested his inheritance into said low-risk mutual funds and did NOTHING for 30 years, he'd very likely have a higher net-worth than he does today.

It's funny how (by any meaningful standard) he's spent decades floundering around in his dad's business, yet he markets himself as some kind of empire-building tycoon. lol

For comparison; Warren Buffet received a similar cash inheritance around the same time. He's worth roughly 70 billion dollars now.

Trump is literally daddy's money and he somehow managed to screw that up.

It's fine if you're born into money and make your own fortune like Bill Gates or Warren buffet, but I got no respect for guys like Trump. It's vexing when people try to use his "business success" as a justification for why he's fit to run the country

I'm comparing his investments to low-risk index funds. If you actually want to compare him to savvy investors like Buffet, Trump looks even worse. Way worse. Plenty of people had foresight and business savvy... Trump didn't. That's the point.

No. The point is that Donald Trump ACTS like he's Usain Bolt when in reality he runs a statistically average 40 yard dash.

I imagine any investment or suggestion he proposes will be analyzed more thoroughly as president compared to whatever dreams he decided to chase as a businessman.

Trump is a risk-taker. Sure, he could have played it safe his entire life and ended up a lot richer than he is, but he's not that kind of man. His approach to business is bold and adventurous, possibly bordering on reckless, but he's always landed on his feet.

hey fuckhead, please look into Chapter 11 Bankruptcy. Its not liquidation. its reorganization of debt... yes, at a lower interest rate which helped Donald, but all that meant is that the bank that loaned him money didn't make as much off their loans, they certainly didnt get completely hosed out of all the money they loaned to Trump

Ch 11 is usually the last ditch effort to restructure a company before Ch 7 liquidation. Many companies who file for Ch 11 end up filing for Ch 7 later, closing the company down and screwing over the debtors. Trump came out of Ch 11 every time

The only debtors who get screwed over in Ch 11 are unsecured debt holders. And they know they have a chance of getting screwed in the company they are doing business with declares BK, so I don't have much sympathy.

Many notable companies have filed Ch 11. Do you refuse to fly on most american airlines? refuse to drive GM or Chrysler. refuse to eat at certain chain restaurants or shop at certain big box stores bc they have all filed for Ch 11?

>hunny, lets not eat at Applebee's. I just in good conscious can't eat a quesadilla burger tonight just knowing some of their creditors got screwed over

>Those greedy wall street fat cats just sit on their investments and pay no taxes and help no one but themselves!

>Donald Trump is a failure for investing in businesses, charities, and employees

Liberals need to make up their minds. Also:

>What is the price for being a multinational celebrity who's become a household name the world over?

>Warren Buffet is a party insider who's close ties with the democratic party have ensured he never needs to worry about competition, either for his slumlord properties or his oil transportation monopoly by rail.

Here's a notion.

What if he done things because he wanted to? What if it wasn't to get every cent he could? Maybe he simply wanted to put hotels or casinos in communities to employ people. There are plenty of videos of him just giving shit away, he seems genuine.

Trump is what, almost 70? And we haven't heard of any wrong doings from him? You'd think having all his connections and working with people around the globe that surely someone would talk bad about him.

But that isn't the case. Instead he seems to be universally loved by people who worked with or for him. Instead, people just chant RACIST! Cruz has a sex scandal as the "religious" part of the right and the worst they can get on Trump is shit he publicly says and is misconstrued.

MAGA

There's no evidence to support that exact number. In the early 90s he slipped into debt (I've seen estimates of 20 million but it's not conclusive), but it's not like all of his properties and assets suddenly disappeared.

So what your'e saying is he didnt lean back and let his money do the work for him like youre average Jude?
He actually tried to produce something with it? Make something new?
So your'e saying he failed so many times and still has more money than you will ever even
SEE?

No wonder they want student loan forgiveness. They thought it was free money to go to school.

Would get close to that fucking thing without claw gloves

Yeah, for real. Bernie was heavily in debt late into life, never really worked a real job. Hillary comes from money.
>>
>>69068429

Hillary is a Dixie mafia bitch. Her money comes from pay-offs disguised as legal income.

Maybe it'll snow in Miami tomorrow. Maybe you can bet against it.
>>
>>69061035
You don't make the cover of Forbes several times over two+ decades by being a poor business man. If it was so easy, every trust fund kid would be as successful as Trump.
>>
>>69068429
Isn't Bernie still in debt?
>>
>>69062245
>>69062503

Fuck off. He isn't the greatest business tycoon of all time, but he is an excellent businessman and anyone with a business background can see that.
>>
>>69067459
>So what your'e saying is he didnt lean back and let his money do the work for him like youre average Jude?

No. I'm saying that he's a mediocre businessman by any standard or comparison. It's a comparison. I'm not saying what he should or shouldn't have done. I'm saying that what he DID do was unremarkable.
>>
>>69069113
>what he did do was unremarkable
Isnt like only 0.00000001% of the world population more succesful than him?
>>
>>69069113
What is your business background, Anon? How many successful fortune 500 companies have you personally lead?
>>

None. My father was a respiratory therapist.

Yeah, running the 31st most successful private firm in the world is unremarkable and mediocre. When I think "moderately successful firm," I think the Trump Organization instead of Raising Canes or some such shit.
>>
>>69061035
Still 10000000000000000x better than a cunt socialist and that cunt clinton
>>
>>69069766
>world

Actually, I meant the US. Still, the Trump Organization has been very successful.

Would it make sense for someone like Bill Gates or some other outstandingly wealthy and successful businessperson to run in lieu of Trump? Perhaps--but Trump did it first.
>>
>>69070135
Bill Gates donated half his fortune to ruining the African economy (i.e. causing huge inflation and destruction of native industry by just dumping 500 billion into the local economy). Hed' campaign on retarded commie platforms like Bernard Sanders.
>>
>>69070010
If you say so.
>>
>>69065092
>Occupy Democrats
>>
So lemme guess, I should vote for the cuck running a scam for donations or the bank-bought, book-cooking harpie because Trump is *only* worth $4.5bil?
>>
>>69073069
I don't care who you vote for.
>>
>>69073766
So what the fuck is the point of this thread, cunt?
>>
>>69067830
If they do they should have vin back as the giant.
>>
>>69074954
People have been lauding Trump's business savvy, and I think it's undeserved. If people still want to vote for the guy despite his (at best) modest business performance, then so be it. I just think it should be up for discussion.
>>
>>69063806
>You do realize that neither Bill Gates nor Warren Buffet have made their fortunes or anything else without their dad's influence, right?

Explain? Bill was an amazing programmer/businessman and Warren Buffet is one of the most brilliant investors ever. They may have had a leg up in life because of their parents' wealth but they didn't get inheritance or million dollar loans from them.
>>
>>69061035

Warren Buffet is one of the greatest investors of all time, retard.

That's like saying someone is slow because Usain Bolt is way faster.
>>
At least he made his money instead of being a career politician for the joos
>>
>>69076731
No. I'm saying that he makes himself out to be Usain Bolt when he's actually mediocre.
