That 97% number is complete bullshit.
There were ~11,000 scientific papers, 99.5% of which concluded that either there was no man-made climate change, or that climate wasn't changing at all (or they were inconclusive).
Of those ~11,000 papers, NOAA through all the ones that were inconclusive out the window. All the ones that showed that Earth was cooling were thrown out the window. Any paper that that did not say that the climate was changing was chucked. That left about ~3,000 publications, of which 97% said mad-made climate change was a thing.
But what about the other 9,000 peer reviewed papers? Those don't fit the agenda, so they aren't counted, they aren't talked about.

The theory is that pollution acts as an insulator/shield, making summers hotter by keeping in heat, but also making winters colder by blocking the low amount of heat.

AGW theory cannot be tested in a lab, only simulated on a computer. Those models have failed their predictions. They are therefore falsified and require modification or replacement regardless of who "believes in them."
