Not a native, but I did some historical work on the Indian Territory (Oklahoma).
When the slave vs free states shit was going on, slaves were offered to the Natives in Indian Territory. The natives there were from all different groups, so it wasn't a collective culture'd mentality.
For the large part, most of the natives didn't take slaves. Not for moral decisions, as some of the cultures had slavery, but because they didn't trust niggers to work. It was also extremely faux pas for their daughters to be seen with niggers.
