we have each our own words for alot of things so if you were to ask me from that experience with
people from Belgrade it was more like comparing Slovak/Slovenian to Croatian I can understand the general context
but I didn't know what alot of words ment. My niece ran away to Belgrade with my Aunt
(racetraitor moneyhogg, keeps asking us to send her money) when the war started and has grown up in Belgrade learning Serbian
first time she came over after the war I tried to avoid her because I was a kid and felt awkward when se told me something
because I didn't know what she said, I still remember the first time they came over and I couldn't understand when my aunt
asked me if we had fucking spare slippers
I wouldn't be surprised if quite a few people from Croatia didn't agree with me because of how much they are exposing themselves

Untill I was about 17 I havent heard or read almost anything or listened to anyone with even a serb-ish manner of speaking
on the other hand I know a few people who practically grew up listening and reading the Serbian-Croatian/Croatian-Serbian
which was used in Yugoslavia so they don't have a problem talking to people in Bosnia, Serbia or Montenegro
