It's not because people don't care, it's just.. what else is new, nations with a lot of muslims tend to have a lot of jihadi incidents against non muslims predominatly but also against muslims that are not muslim enough..
That's the difference between when it happens in those places and in the west.. It happens rarely in the west because it doesn't have that many muslims comparatively. So people are naturally more shocked that it happens in europe or the west in general, than if it happens in pakistan for instance.
