MD/VA is ridiculously loaded.
I live a few blocks from the Friendship Heights DC metro station, just over the border in MD. This is a predominantly white area, up into Bethesda, and is probably the richest of the MD side suburbs or DC. The city has dropped below 50% black for the first time in 50 years, so things are looking up, mostly because there is a big amount of gentrification. Whites are tired of their 2 hour commutes and are moving into new condos/apartments in the city. Also gays are contributing to this.
Going to public high school in this area I can tell you that they started bringing in kids from shittier areas like silver spring to go to school at the better high schools like mine. This backfired big time when dindus didn't take any honors or AP/IB classes which brought the whole school down but this meant that they conveniently segregated themselves from the whites and Asians and small number of more forward thinking spics and blacks who took the more rigorous classes together. School went from being top 5 in the state when I graduated and this had just started to not even on the list now.
