Iran is the only player in the region that opposes US hegemony so the US makes an alliance with the devil, Saudi Arabia, which is the source of Salafi Islam which is where all the terrorism is coming from. The US media won't tell that it's Salafist Islam that's the problem because Saudis are a US ally and instead they put soft propaganda that it's a 'muslim' problem. None of other muslims are bombing westerners or demanding sharia.
The US establishment doesn't give a shit about ISIS or AQ, they are only using them to push their hegemony in the region. That's why they won't work with the secular Syrian government or Iran to defeat ISIS.
