Economically speaking religion can be dangerous. It spreads ideas of egalitarianism, which are bad for economic progress.
It's the only rational choice whether you fall on the theist or atheist side of the fence.
The proposition "God exists" is not falsifiable in any empirical sense. It's a matter of faith for both believers and unbelievers.
