Ted Cruz just says what he has to in order to win the narrative that Trump set about immigration, he probably wouldn't do any more than all the other attempts at a secure border have achieved; nothing.
Trump would first of all be a giant smack in the face against liberals. It'll create more polarisation, which is great for us because that means more extremism on both sides. The left ultimately is more ugly than the right when it comes to using dirty tactics, so hopefully it'll shift the general public to reluctantly take the side of Trump on issues that are clearly taken out of context by the leftwing media. If not more ugly, the left at least is more prevelant in media and will completely dominate every angle of mainstream news when Trump does as much as move his arm. But today there's the internet, so people will find out that the stories the media are telling about Trump aren't exactly what's real. We've already seen that today and that's why there's an active support of Trump on reddit of all places.
Second of all, Trump is probably the best candidate to secure the border, or at least start to. With the wall in place, legal immigration would be the next issue to step to. Admittedly Trump isn't the best for that, but no other candidate is either. But after that it's just paperwork, because the wall would be there.
Whites will be wiped off the face of the earth if we don't start doing more. Trump should be a side-story. The general public needs to change opinions for any of this to matter. Elections are decided before they happen, that's just demographics.
