If you are not doing it in the way it was done traditionally then you are doing it wrong. You are not supposed to smoke concentrated extracts of it, you are supposed to chew and suck on the raw leaf for an extended period of time in a dark room or outdoors at night.
For 90% of people that smoke strong extracts it results in a trip that is too bizarre, uncomfortable and ominous for it to be enjoyable or useful or helpful in any way. Stick with the raw leaf or better yet stick with mushrooms and other regular psychedelics.
Everyone should have a chance to try it voluntarily, of their own steam.
This is so that, if their brain ever malfunctions, either due to drugs or trauma or just bad wiring, they have some context to put the lack of sanity into some frame of reference to reality.

Smoking Salvia in the woods gives you very, very clear vision. You feel like an eagle. Zooming in on images is very easy and strange. You can also spot small creatures. I spotted a tick from 10 feet away, went over and picked it up with a stick when people didn't believe me.
For about 10 days after using I have significant depersonalization / derealization during periods of stress, especially in public.
