Go fuck yourself off to whatever reservation/college campus you crawled out of. Environmentalism is easy as fuck when you never develop any technology of note and have no idea how one would even use the abundant resources they had access too. They had plenty of warring tribes, disease, bloodshed, and disturbing religious practices; the environment was unharmed because they never built anything of note or had sufficient population to tax the environment because their lifestyle couldn't support large populations. I'm all for environmentalism, but looking to the natives as examples is like looking to an illiterate as a guide to how one can write without using so much paper. Yes they use less paper, but that's only because they don't know how to use it. That is, unless of course, you want to undo the industrial revolution; I might be able to get behind that but the death toll would probably get out of hand as large cities decayed without the flow of sufficient goods to support the residents. Infrastructure would have to be broken down and mankind would enter something of a dark age. Of course those who preserved the technological advancements or re-discovered them would steamroll everyone else, and we'd be right back where we are today, so that's only a temporary solution.
