Talked to some legit liberals at the graduate level and they seriously see themselves as "citizens of the world" the concept of loyalty to their nation or people is archaic or even bigoted to them.

And some Republicans straddle the line towards the based part of the population. Like Jim Webb who is more of a middle ground between Democrats and Republicans.
If the republican party was composed of people like Jim Webb and Ron Paul and Tom Sowell instead of dominionist fucks and HURR ANGER POPULISM idiots, it would loved by a lot more young people and blue collar workers.
