It is retarded. I know a person who worked 2 years on getting his qualification so he could work with kids in tennis.
One day he confronted a robber that stole his money (did not punch, but merely grabbed that person by the bag, all on cctv) and ended up with an assault and using threatening language charges.
After fighting it in court with lawyers for several months, assault charges were dropped but he still received a conditional discharge for "using insulting or abusive language or behavior"
Still haunts him till this day. Barred from working with kids, constant problems with travelling and VISAS et cetera.
