But when you're reborn, you might be reborn into a happy life. Let's say you're reborn but not in the current year, but in the past, 300 years ago, exploring the world either as a crewman or the ship's captain.
Ofcourse when you're reborn you won't remember anything of your previous life, except you will learn from your mistakes.

I don't know man, I've been a Christian all my life growing up but I've always thought about reincarnation. Now I don't believe in the Egg Theory to 100% myself but I believe in something similar.
I've started to think lately, doubting Christianity and it's similar religions: After living your life on earth, if you die you'll just automatically come to heaven? If a baby is born and only gets to live 2 seconds on this earth before dying, this little baby boy/girl gets a free trip to the land above?
That's it? That's all it takes? Technically this baby will go to heaven since he hasn't done anything wrong in life, no sins, no nothing, maybe he never even got to take his first breath and they're sending him to heaven for that? His one shot at life on earth wasted and now he'll get to spend the rest of existence on the clouds without a chance of being reborn?

Well there are different versions about what happens when one dies.
One version says that it depends on your karma. If you do good things, you'll be reborn a human (hopefully with better standards) and your karma keeps adding up until you reach enlightenment or moksha that is, you'll be freed from the continuous cycle of life and death and you'll ascend.
The other version says that when we die, the good people have a choice to choose what will happen. The smart ones choose to go to heaven while the stupid ones wish to go back and try again and hence ask for another life.
Being Half-Hindu Half-Christian, I've always been kinda conflicted in the afterlife part.

We're all the same soul, I don't fully believe in the Egg Theory but it does strike me as possible. I don't think we're ever gonna achieve the same status as god, but I think the main reason is for us as a human specie to evolve. Although he, the almighty father above loves us, we are all but his experiment, a one piece game of chess.

1. Reincarnation sucks major dick, everything that you do in this life doesn't actually matter because you'll just die and be reborn as a new human being after 70 years, if only you knew the endless mundane cycle that you go through, you'd want to end it all.
2. Ending it all, seeing darkness forever and feeling nothing, what else is there to say? It's fucking terrifying, you're being taken from the things that have kept you and your ancestors alive through the generations, that's all you know, you, as an individual and everything you stand for is gone forever in one instant, forever, ever, ever...
3. And now, my favorite, to ruin all your religiousfag dreams... Heaven or Hell, hell sucks for obvious reasons, but heaven? None of this accounts for the fact that Earth and this universe (as all others can assumed to be) are finite. We have the power to destroy this Earth and so it can be assumed that we can destroy all other Earth like planets and even ourselves.
