My parents are already millionaires and now I'm trying to become a billionaire on my own
so take that britcuck
Why Brit posters literally post the same pics everyday?
I don't.
I idealize myself as a rugged individualist that makes enough to buy the shit I want because I was smart enough to learn a trade and get a decent job.
a million is really not an outlandish amount like it used to be
>>68641571
is that you young donald?
>>68641476
This is absolutely true. I gave up on that shit when I lost in every single financial bubble explosion since I've been adult.

Ever met a success without self belief? I haven't.

it's true and it's what makes America 'the greatest'. yes most are wrong but by trying they still achieve more on average... ir at least that's the theory, and how it supposedly used to be, before the financial cancer overtook everything else.

Same goes for Trump supporters

this.
Id rather work and be able to afford anything I want than not work and be able to afford only basic necessities given to me.

I know right!?
This isn't true. I believe that the system in the US allows the cream to rise to the top within a certain range. I have no degree and I was a NEET up until recently but I'm making 65k a year now and supporting my family. If everything goes according to plan I'll be making 80k and have a job title upgrade this time next year.
There's opportunity here for hard workers--that doesn't mean we all expect to be literal millionaires (although most people do make more than that much, and if you put money into your 401k/ira/whatever you'll easily have over a couple million by retirement)
>>68641476
Not really, I'm just looking to comfy middle class.

You can have an infinite amount of money. But, you're still going to die.

Not for long. Life extension is around the corner.

Let's just where Americans really stand.

The only one in need of a reality check is you. Get off /pol/.
Where did I say anything about transhumanism? You'll still be human, but the genes related to aging will be under control. This is not a fantasy and is a realistic development.
Only the rich will afford it.

Clarkson is worth evacuating when Europe finally collapses.
I dont know what his policies are, but maybe the bongs could groom him to be their Trump.

Maybe once, but modern day US doesn't really seem that free.

I don't.

The US is a mixed economy. We idolize individualism, but we don't really practice it.

I was born poor, to legal migrants who had to work in dangerous factories to feed our family. We had very little but my parents always made sure we had food and prioritized our education.
I was able to work through highschool and save up enough money to buy a car, work through college, lived at home and have very little dept. I picked a degree based off something I enjoyed, was good at, and had hope of finding a job.
I am now in my mid 30's, make over $150k/year and am married to someone who makes the same.
I think its bullshit when I hear faggots like OP trying to say that people do not have a chance to improve their lives in the US. There is no system that says if you are from x family or x race or x religion then you cant go to school or can't get certain jobs, in fact its the opposite where minorities get a helping hand here.
Never fall for the lie that people are held back by anything other than their drive to fail.

The American Dream was always about giving the next generation a better shot than what the previous one had. It was never about rags to riches miracles
No, I'm a rugged individualist that's going to make enough money to have a decent house the ability to retire one day solely because of my own work ethic and innate greatness. Though I am willing to settle for just one of those.

You don't get it, and you brits never will.
We don't think we're going to be millionaires. Rather we have always refused to accept respect and courtesy doled out according to a stratified class system based on pedigree and money.
If you talk smart and smug to a trailer part hick, a ghetto thug, a mini-van driving suburban dad, or a billionaire ranch owner, you should expect him to introduce his fist to your jaw and put you on the ground.

And you propose what, exactly- that everyone should aim low thereby ensuring that no one achieves success? None of the self-made millionaires in this country would have become a millionaire in the first place without these attitudes which you deem negative.
