Okay. Let's talk Berenstein bears here.

I have a VERY DISTINCT memory of a major world event that happened in the Afghanistan war that seems to not have actually happened.

What I remember is that jihadis attacked the military base that the British Prince Harry was stationed at.

This appears to have actually happened.

However I also remember that months later they arrested a British soldier who had sold the information about Prince Harry to the Taliban. They convicted him of high treason and they fucking hung him in the tower of london and it was a HUGE deal because it was the first time the Brits hand hung someone in forever.

They filmed the tower the entire time while they were hanging him and I WATCHED IT HERE IN A STREAM WITH HUNDREDS OF YOU. I FUCKING WATCHED IT.

When he was dead the rung the bell tower so everyone would know it was over.

I was talking to a coworker about this and trying to find a news article of it and SUDDENLY IT NEVER HAPPENED

IS ANYONE FROM MY UNIVERSE?

If you can't flat quit it, then replace it with a different dopamine reactor. Normally, this would come in the form of having normal social relations with other people, pets, healthy sexual activity, etc.

But if that's no good then you could perhaps try a shot at almost any activity where you control the reward function instead of relying on external stimulus. So, for instance, growing plants (it's coming near growing season) or playing a musical instrument.

The whole Berenstein beads thing is crazy because I remember when it changed. My family is German so whenever my grandmother came over and saw the show playing she'd give us a lesson on how "stein" means "stone" in German. But worse than that is the shows theme song. I distinctly remember how the singer pronounces both "Berenstein" and "Berenstain" and I still occasionally get either version of the song stuck in my head.

>>
>>68599286
no no no, that's not how it works.

We now live in a timeline where it was ALWAYS Berenstain. Its not as simple as "at a certain time they changed the character's name and spelling moving forward" Anyone can go back and look at their old bear books and see that they all have been retroactively changed from stein to stain. That is because in this current timeline "Berenstein" never existed, the only thing that exists is people from that timeline who were shifted over and remember it that way.

The real concern is not that the name of a children's book has been altered. Its that so far that's all we've noticed. There could and likely are more important events that are different. The question is who did this, how did they do it, and for what major purpose?
>>
>>68597621

>>

>>68599266

I know for a fact that it has been Berenstain for over a decade.

In the 6th grade (2002) I tried to turn the cover of "Berenstain Bears go to Camp" into a Holocaust joke comic, thinking they had a Jewish last name. The joke didn't work because they weren't Berensteins.

The name either changed before 2002 or all of you are just remembering wrong. I think it's the latter.

Some of those maps make South America look further east than others. Most notably, top row, second column.

I guess I couldn't wrap my head around the fact that more matter exists than antimatter. Or rather, why. There should have been equal amounts that annihilated each other, but that's not the case.

I know there are a few theories discussing this, and while very plausible I guess I'm not convinced. Mostly because the properties of antimatter are not fully understood. Until then I'll continue entertaining my theory, until proven otherwise.

Yep. South America moved 1000 miles to the right. I know because I was in a shipwreck in Costa Rica and was 2 time zones away. This was last year. I'm also playing with brazillians online when I used to not see them so early.

Something that has been and always was is now replaced by something that is, will always be, and always was.

It happens m8. There's no reason to panic. There's no way to reverse it. Just chill. The collision of universes happens frequently.

I have a jap car from 1996. Just yesterday (3/22) The key no longer fit in the driver side door and i have to go to the passenger side to unlock then unlock from the inside. I had the same problem 10-11 months ago, then randomly one day it fixed itself. This change has happened a few times.

Our Berenstein Bears books now read Berenstain, but the switch was before middle school, I read them in elementary school. Specifically i remember 2nd grade, but 2002 was too late. 1996 perhaps?
>>
>>68599286

so i have a theory
everyone inside of the stain universe is actually alive and might appears as drones to the stein universe. you lucky faggots.
everyone inside of the stein universe has died in the past and is stuck in that universe. you do not exist in the stain universe. life sucks.

my reasoning behind this is as such;
when you die, your soul refuses to leave so it stays behind in that universe as the rest of existence moves forward.

if you have had a near-death experience... at any time... you died. no denying that.

granted that CERN is pulling souls from their roots, you could suddenly jump from stein to stain and vice versa...

Car keys don't fit around the same time each year, then fix themselves? I'm inclined to believe that your lock warps a bit when the temperatures start to change. It's probably more worn than the passenger side lock, and is more prone to damage from freezing water every winter.

That is, unless you're down south and the temperature hasn't recently changed by a fair amount.

the guy you kill is just going to jump into his own, deeper universe where he lives

his universe had priority over yours and you fail if you try to kill him. the only way this could be, is if he had an affect on your life to where you could have died from their influence.

i can only assume at this point. old age is a horrid concept that i never managed to wrap my mind around
BUT HERE I GO ANYWAYS

from what i have gathered, when you reach old age your grip on the universe loosens and you drift closer towards isolation/rock bottom.
once you hit rock bottom (you drop from every other universe)
...the cycle begins again.
the only way to restart the universe is to isolate it.

take that as you want...

My job requires me to interact with the elderly, most of whom suffer from alzheimers and dementia. What I have seen is that most of them know exactly where they are and what they are doing. The only problem is that everyone else would consider them wrong. Also, it's almost as if their sense of time is distorted. One minute they're five years old, asking when mom is getting back from church, the next they regain a bit of awareness, have no idea where they are, how old they are, and why their body doesn't work right.

You are right to think it's terrifying. Which makes me question your logic. If you hop into a new dimension every time you die unnaturally, the end result will always be a certain hell.

>>
>>68607016
That's only possible if our consciousness is not determined by neurons and synapses. They would have to be extra dimensional. Even so, we would have to recall alternate memories of the same events simultaneously, not favoring one over the other. Ultimately your theory favors faith in a soul existing without purpose. What happens when the last human in every universe dies? Too many inconsistencies, friend.

Those of us who learn from our mistakes are careful not to make new ones.

It's not always so metaphysical. I'm guessing that you tend to stay within the law after your close encounter? Your mother probably didn't let you out of her sight for months after you almost drowned as well. I would probably do the same. Kids do stupid shit and will murder themselves if you don't pay attention.
