NY is a closed primary state. You must be registered as a Republican in order vote for Trump on April 19th.

The deadline to register or change party affiliation is March 25th which is this coming Friday, so if you haven't already, here is the form you'll need to complete and either mail or deliver in person to your county election board:
http://www.elections.ny.gov/NYSBOE/download/voting/voteform.pdf

In order for a full 95 delegate sweep to occur, Trump needs at least 50% of the statewide vote (14 delegates) and at least 50% of the vote in each of the 27 congressional districts (3 delegates each, 81 delegates total). If he misses 50% in a district, he can still get all 3 delegates so long as no one else breaks 20% in the same district.

Do not become complicit just because you see he's 65% in the polls and decide not to bother showing up or registering to vote "cuz he's gonna win anyway". Every delegate counts at this point and there's no excuse for not delivering every one of NY's 95 delegates to him. This state should be easy mode.

I just donated another $0.00 to the campaign - match me /pol/.
And let's get those phone banks rolling so we can call the same person who doesn't speak English 25 times in the late evening.

That state is literally not part of America

95 delegates is still 95 delegates.

I registered as an independent years ago when I first registered myself to vote. Is it too late to change to republican?

You have to fill out the form linked in the OP to change your party affiliation to Republican and send it either in person or by mail your county election board. You have until Friday to do this, so do it.

Friday is the deadline for the presidential primary. The October deadline is for the November election.

>Friday is the deadline for the presidential primary. The October deadline is for the November election.

That doesn't make any sense m8

The presidential primary is on April 19th. The state needs to have your info on record several weeks beforehand.
>>
>>68569891
Oh I see what you're saying. The October deadline was for the November 2015 election.
>>
>>68567713
You don't even need to fill out that form.
You can register online directly through the DMV website.
It takes like 5 minutes.

Alright, that actually makes sense.

I just registered and I've never lived in NY. Can someone pick me up on election day so I can vote?
>>
If you are ALREADY REGISTERED TO VOTE AND AREN'T DOING THIS FOR THE FIRST TIME you cannot switch your party by this March deadline.

That deadline is only for FIRST TIME VOTERS.

If you are say, democrat, independent or no party you must have switched in Oct 2015 or its too late and you can't vote in the primary.

I tried, made phone calls, bitched but no deal.

I forgot about that. Wish I had put that in the OP. The printed PDF is still good for grandpas who are afraid of computers.

>>68571114
You've got to be fucking kidding me. Can anyone else confirm? I know a ton of independents who were planning to vote for Trump on the 19th but have to switch parties first.
>>
>>68571369
Too late my friend, the polls are probably incorrect because of this.

>Bernie Sanders supporters have made a whole website dedicated to letting slacktivists, coffee-shop socialists, and Green Party members know that for their vote to count in New York, they have to become Democrats. The same applies if you're a 4chan user who voted Libertarian in 2012 but want Donald Trump to get the Republican nomination so he can continue to troll the world.

Yes. Everyone keeps calling me a Cruzmissile for sharing this.

I'm not trying to discourage anyone. If anything, go out and find those who aren't registered and convince them they are the only way to get Trump elected.

Ah okay, thought you were in NY. I'm in Suffolk county if anyone else is going.
