Anon, by using 4chan you're using encryption.
SSL to be exact

Really? I highly doubt that's how encryption and coding looks.

Even the FBI knows to stay away from any version of Microsoft Botnetâ„¢ after WinXP.

You can actually seal WinXP botnet leaks & backdoors with a bit of knowledge and under-the-hood geeking. Even the FBI knows they can't secure anything that's been released since.

Who needs encryption? I just hide my porn in a really elaborate maze of folders. No way they'll ever reach it.
>>
>>68458908
I always feel sorry for the people who 'upgraded' to Windows 10. I don't feel sorry for the people who 'upgraded' to remove the spam message though.
>>
>>68459758
I did that as a kid.
Right click -> properties -> look at size
You now know which folder contains the porn

How much of your porn did I just find?
>>
>>68460349
Oh no! Large dummy files everywhere!
>>68460455
None! I rename everything with a secret extension and I associated it with VLC.
>>
>>68459080
some sort of garbo westinghouse lcd tv, is this screencap from 2004?
>>
>>68460934
So what if I click on VLC and go to recent files? Or just simply click file-open to get your last opened folder.
>>
I simple pictogram foils the NSA. They don't have a way of looking for that sort of thing through deep packet inspection. And they simply don't have enough people to look at non-pornographic images.

If you use pgp they will sniff it and decrypt it on the fly though. Simply because it was encrypted.
>>
>>68461227
I disabled the recent files history in VLC and Windows.
>>
>>68460934
I work for the NSA and I'm inspired by your techniques.
I will forward it to my superiors for consideration as a new TOP SECRET document storage system.
>>
>>68461646
See, you're putting too much thought into this. I just keep my porn on my desktop and shrug if anyone asks me about it.
>>
>>68461614
>If you use pgp they will sniff it and decrypt it on the fly though. Simply because it was encrypted.
I really doubt they can decrypt PGP...
Maybe they will log it by default and try to acquire the private keys some way (e.g. by hacking you, or having the police confiscate your PC, etc) if they determine that it's worth it. But I can't believe that they would be able to decrypt it at will without stealing the keys.
>>
>>68457014
Does that mean that the FBI are terrorists?
>>
>>68462020
FINALLY. And they said Windows 10 couldn't be secured... pff.

>Tfw I keep porn that could have me locked up for a few years in the my documents folder in a folder named 'new folder' 1, 2 and 3 with the 'large icons' enabled so two pictures are displayed on each folder.
Turns out not letting people use your computer is actually the safest option.
>>
>>68457014
Fuck off.

All the FBI asked for was either turning off the self-wiping after failed attempts, or instancing phones onto however many copies they needed so they could brute force it, expensively.

Not a back door you nigger
>>
>>68462043
Well, I do have a shortcut on my desktop to my final porn folder in the maze though. I named it "If you use this and you're not me, you have admitted defeat.". Pretty sure this will keep people off it.
>>
>>68463009
OMG. The FBI wants to see all of our dicks!
>>
>>68463009
You're fucking stupid and falling for their propaganda. They wanted precedent to do whatever the fuck they want. That's why they backed the fuck off when it became clear they would be ruled against in court.
>>
>>68462108

I view cryptography on this level where if you can brute force a key within five to ten years then its already useless. Cryptography and hash functions alone won't keep anything private or secure at all.

For god sakes people still use md5 to store passwords without any sort of custom method of salting it. And then believe it or not... people use crap like that to store keys!

>> Maybe they will log it by default and try to acquire the private keys some way
Every random number generator is backdoored.

But at the end of the day they still have to search and crawl through all that data. If spambots can't read a pictogram neither can the NSA.

Nobody ever seems to notice it. At least, nobody has ever asked me about it.

In fact, come to think of it .... not sure if I've even talked to anyone in a couple of years .....

>I view cryptography on this level where if you can brute force a key within five to ten years then its already useless.
It's more on the order of thousands to millions of years for today's cryptosystems (TLS, modern PGP, SSH, etc).
>Every random number generator is backdoored.
Not the opensource OSes. Maybe Windows... but I would find that hard to believe... :/
