>yfw the mighty United States of America has just lost the Cold War to Cuba
HASTA SIEMPRE COMANDANTE
Enjoy your victory lap in your 1950's rusted American car with a commie tractor engine in it.

No. Raul and Fidel are probably gonna croak fairly soon, so America are trying to broker a transitional phase, wherein cuba will go full batista again.
>>68422113
yes I will laugh my ass off when the American companies in Cuba will have to submit themselves to Castro's government instead of simply doing whatever they want which was their original plan. The Cuban people has won and the US has lost
>>68422263
Castro will probably try to do what Latin America did in the 2000s, bring democracy but obviously their party will have the upper hand and like in Latin America they will probably win every election, because they will be the ones that will slightly open the economy to other markets and actually enhance the lives of Cubans and also they were the ones that actually succeeded in bringing Obama to the Cuban soil and actually try to end the embargo instead of simply destroying Castro's Regime

>America has just lost the Cold War to Cuba
damn boy, stop reading that shit.
>>68422952
Obama actually went to Cuba and wanted to end the embargo while the Communist Regime is still in power. How is that a loss for Cuba?
>>68422683
>also they were the ones that actually succeeded in bringing Obama to the Cuban soil
and yet, they weren't even waiting to greet him at the airport. Los Putos.

it's great isn't it
That's not even the worst of it
>literally standing at attention in the revolution square
This would have been grounds for impeachment 3 decades ago
>Brussels in flames
>Obama writes it off in fifty seconds and says we need to unite all ethnicities and religions to be strong
>Spends the rest of the time saying America does not want to change Cuba and that political change would have to come from its people democratically
>Political Change
>Democratically
>Cuba
Obama Foreign policy in a nutshell, folks.
Condescending, ineffectual, ill-informed, and entirely detached from reality. Good fucking God.

We are a decadent and non-serious people.
Bread and circuses will fatten us up for slaughter.

its not a loss, but it sure as shit isn't a win.
>>68423342
That embargo hurt Cuba a lot more than it hurt the US over the years.

Why don't you follow your leader, monkeyboy?
In the 00's
>Chavez becomes Fidel's ideological successor
>Latin America is swept up in a 'pink wave' of leftist governments
>Latin America becomes more integrated, commie, anti-american
>Cuba is riding Venezuela's coat tails. Living the good life due to oil prices.
Present day
>Chavez is dead
>Venezuela is a complete disaster
>Argentina has pivoted to the right
>Your former commie president is about to go to jail
>Your current commie president is about to be impeached
>Raul Castro is selling out, and grabbing hold of the only lifeline Cuba has left
I bet Fidel wishes he died last decade, when he thought he was leaving his dreams in good hands (Chavez) and all his aspirations for the region were finally being realized.
Now all of that has literally gone to shit.
In fact, Obama is going to Argentina and is apparently going to give a speech praising the shift away from populist communism.
