Where exactly? Because I went to a highschool in rural texas, and the sex ed course I had to take 10 years ago taught fairly about all common forms of contraception. The curriculum did stress that abstinence was the best option for avoiding STDs and pregnancy, which is actually true, but it certainly didn't omit the other options.
