You have to make them see Whig History as the veil it really is. That Democratic nation states have every reason to want to portray themselves as superior to all past systems and to interpret history as an inevitable progression of Democratic victories culminating in the modern liberal Democratic state. When they see that this is simply just revisionist, they might start to distrust everything they have been told.

I think most reasonable people, regardless of ideology, wouldn't condone murdering another human being over a disagreement. It's always the vocal minority that paints a shit picture for everyone. Terrorists, PC-fags, Stormfags, whoever. Our brains are hardwired to focus on the negative.
