We have to solve it in a way which won't get people crying human rights. The way to do this is follow international law to the letter.
Step 1: Ask for passport
- If not Syrian/Iraq; deport to home country immediately
- If Fake; we don't know where to deport them. Ask them where they are from and deport.
If they refuse to say where they are from deport back to the first safe country on their route.
If the first safe country is the country they applied in; we can't actually send them anywhere else. Therefor; send to camps where conditions are there bear minimum human rights passable and they have to labor. Like Prison.
Step 2:
Family status. Ask them if they have a family and where. Ask for proof if possible. Actual family group? Go ahead. Single male claiming his family is still in Syria? Deport. No true asylum seeker would not bring his family from the hellhole. It's probobly a fake passport/stolen.
3: If they commit a crime; the strictest force of the law should apply in all cases. If the crime is serious [EG: Rape] deport.
A humanitarian approach could be:
Convince Assad to give amnesty to SOME rebel groups that surrender, or better yet, side with the government. Also that he should give more freedums to the Syrian people.
Cut most of the funds destined to house and feed refugees. Spend them in arming the Syrians and rebuilding the country. Make sure that this project employs only Syrian or Iraqi people, so Syrians are drawn back there.

Part of the solution was dealing with the migrants at the border. The most important part was to make it clear that the border was NOT open and they would NOT be welcomed.
