"Were going to build a wall - the greatest wall you have ever seen, and I will make Mexico pay for the wall."

What did he mean by this?

You realize that Mexico isn't going to pay one single Peso for a wall, right? Who does this clown think he is?

He's going to place tariffs on Mexican goods, which really just means that Americans will buy the wall. This also contradicts his stated position on free trade.

Donald is not saying that he will build the wall and send Mexico the bill. Donald means that we(the USA) will build the wall and force mexico to pay for it by tariffs, taxes on money sent to mexico, charging money for Mexican nationals to obtain visas to enter the US(over 1 million tourist visas are issued per year), etc.

no more foreign aid for them then

The wall is win/win for Mexico and the US.

First, the Northern Mexicans don't like all these southerner Central Americans showing up to their cities to commit crimes while waiting to illegally enter the US.

Second, the wall deters future Central Americans from illegally entering Mexico since they know that land route is now closed.

Mexico wins (no flood of cross-country Guatemalans or Hondurans)

US and A wins

So Americans will pay for the wall ultimately? How does that represent free trade?

Ideally. Really the illegals will either tunnel under the wall or use tall ladders.
>>

Taxing remittances. In 2014 they amounted to $23 billion. The wall will be built and they will pay for it, no matter how we get them to.

>Taxes on money transfers

Invest in bitcoin for the inevitable massive demand when this happens, though bitcoin can handle maybe 1% of the total volume of cash that wires daily from migrant laborers in US.

That's so much money Mexico will fold faster than Jeb Bush's election campaign and just pay the bill.

The US is well within its rights to begin mass deportation of Mexicans living in the country illegally.

Consider that Mexico currently has a little over 2 million people unemployed. Imagine the effect on their society of millions of extra people being added to their economy in a four or eight year time frame.

That's just one of many forms of economic pressure that the US can put on Mexico immediately without requiring any sort of UN approval or violating any international law.

Add that to the various trade policies that can be implemented that would significantly damage their trade balance.

Mexico will pay for the fucking wall, whether they like it or not.

>So Americans will pay for the wall ultimately? How does that represent free trade?

No Americans will buy products from Mexico as we have been, tariff free due to NAFTA.

But what Mexico doesn't realize is how dependent they are on the USA

>The United States is Mexico's largest trading partner, buying 77.5% of Mexican exports in 2012. Total U.S. goods trade with Mexico equaled USD 493 billion in 2012; 7% more than in 2011.

Basically Mexico will pay for the wall through tariffs or their country will be left in ruins.

How the fuck will the Americans end up paying for it? So Jorge who snuck across the border and works under the table while sending $1500 home a week to mexico is now "american"?

And fuck free trade. We have a 42% non parciputatuon rate in the workforce and a dying middle class. Yeah "free trade" is really working out.

Fucking kike scum

Mexico will put tarrifs on their goods to balance.
I'm really feeling the love.
>>
>>68313892
Take it from their annual foreign aid, which Mexico is not entitled to and clearly hasn't been using to better its people or position.
>>
>>68315282
Yeah and no one in mexico will buy shit from us like they don't now? There's a trade imbalance for a reason.

Mexico needs us. 81% of their exports go to us adding up to $309.2 billion dollars worth of goods.. And the rest of their economy depends on remittances. We will get the money. The wall would only cost $10 billion.

>ladder
>tunnel
Except Hamas and Hezbollah have nation state resources and they can't even climb the wall. The US border also already has existing drones flying 24/7 looking for potential tunneling behavior, it's not as if cartels aren't trying this right now.

But it takes big resources to tunnel, nobody is wasting that tunnel on random migrants who will just snitch on it when they reach the other side for a reward.

Also look up the US immigration crisis of 2014 when thousands of unaccompanied minors came fleeing across the border. El Salvador and Guatemala/Honduras are overrun with cartels shit could kick off any day like an internal cartel war with hundreds of daily shootings. You'll end up like Europe with a million migrants headed your way fleeing the violence.
