Degeneracy is very abstract. It could mean low energy, morally reprehensible, etc. The meaning of the word is dependent on the inner world of the speaker, which makes it amusing when pol posters assume all cases are black and white and that their minority perspective is already vindicated.
Nietzsche, who coined most of the words that this word uses, described worthwhile activity as that which is energizing. I think, upon serious reflection, most people will agree that they are energized by degeneracy, the more sordid the better for the human spirit. I have embraced this all my life.
I could talk about how that's affected me personally but pol isn't the place. I will just say that eventually, after accelerating your behavior to a certain limit, you become resolved to change your direction. But you remember what you learned. This isn't really in the tone of this board but these are facts of human life.
