Not really. It depends what you consider rap. A lot of rap today is just pop music with what white people consider rap influence, but isn't really. Rap music peaked in 1997 and just devolved into pop music. So I don't get why white people criticize rap like it's still even relevant. Talking about black music, jazz and everything similar is seriously pretty damn lovely and creative.
A lot of ppl sort of forget that and that black people do contribute. Even some rap is good but you know some niggers ruin it.
It has had a societal effect on the younger generation though. You don't know how cringe worthy it is hearing a white 16 year old girl, say "nigga" in Eastern Kentucky.
