Talking and listening to him like a human being is a good start. Accepting that he can know what's best for himself is another. And be willing to learn and change is also essential. Politics is hard work, there is a reason why they don't teach it anymore.

>you should be allowed to live comfortably off of minimum wage!
>>

Why are liberals so interested in raising the minimum wage? Don't they all have college degrees and thus make six figures?

Hmmm seems a little too altruistic towards the poor....
>>
>>68261797
Protip: That logic is absolutely correct.

Price floors and ceilings always do more harm than good, and labor is not immune to the laws of supply and demand.

How is losing his job in his economic interest?
>>
>>68263478
>LITERALLY FUCKING THIS
Why can't liberals understand, this isn't hard.
Everything in life is regulated by the law of scarcity.
Nothing is exempt. Get over it. Underwater basket weaving wasn't a good degree program and you don't deserve 60k a year to make Navajo shit baskets.

Get rid of illegals, working for illegally lower wages.

Limit immigration, lowering the labor supply, raising wages.

End parasitic trade deals, revive domestic manufacturing, wages rise.

Do the opposite (liberal policy in a nutshell) and wages fall.

People will vote their economic interest.

The PEOPLE will make America great again.

If you're not worth the minimum wage, why should you be employed? This is why I don't even believe minimum wage should exist. If these people really wanted an easier time and not have their wages devalued, they would be for deporting illegals who undercut their wages as well as closing borders down so that corporations can't lobby for mass immigration and stifle wages by flooding the market with human resources.

Do these people honestly believe the were supposed to be able to support a family by working at mcdonalds, anyway? I feel like this is the kind of person we're dealing with who supports $15 minimum wage:

>minimum wage gets raised
>rent goes up
>food goes up
>all other bills go up
>nobody making minimum wage gets an increase

Net result: more poor people.
>>
>>68265226
Sorry, nobody making above minimum wage get an increase
>>
>>68265226
or the other option: unemployment rises and only those who were making above the new minimum wage stay employed

everyone else has to work multiple part time jobs with 4 hour shifts

they don't actually expect employers to just give them more money than they're actually worth to the company, do they?
>>
desu rent controls would probably be a better policy

>inb4 Russian commies know nothing lol

Minimum wage was MADE to able to live off of

> protip Minimum LIVABLE wage
>>
Liberals do not even understand who causes inflation in the first place? Why don't they want a $100 dollar minimum wage?
>>
>>68265573
but that's not what it does in practice

would you rather have someone unemployed indefinitely or making below minimum wage?
>>
>>68265804
>>68265573
moreover, it was not MADE to support a full family

A federal minimum wage does not accurately reflect cost of living. Neither does a blanket state minimum wage. It would better for the federal government to create the standards for minimum wage laws and regulate how minimum wage is calculated. The states would implement these minimum wage standards and create local minimum wage mandates as practical as possible. Municipalities would be allowed to adjust their minimum wage based on their own unique local situation with the consent of the state.

...Hmmm.
There seems to be some correlation here.

Minimum wage laws were quite literally designed from the ground up to stop low skill black workers from being employed over more expensive Union labor you dumb ignorant faggot.

Apartheid South Africa implemented minimum wage controls for an identical reason.
