The American College of Pediatrics (ACP) is not really taken seriously in the medical community. They are a politically driven entity that plays off of the naming of a more credible organization - American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP). AAP literally has 1000x the membership, and probably a proportional amount more influence and budget.
That said neither my wife, her colleagues, nor any pediatrician is going to recommend a gender reassignment surgery.

They will also convince you to "present as female" in public. These to actions help cut you off from the outside world and cement your attachment to the cult.
