>The Y2 Analytics survey shows Cruz with 53 percent support among likely Republican caucus-goes and if that matches Tuesday's caucus vote, he'd win all of the state's 40 GOP delegates.
>Coming in second is Ohio Gov. John Kasich with 29 percent, while Trump, the national front-runner, was a distant third at 11 percent.
>It showed that Cruz performed even better among "very likely" caucus attendees, coming in at 57 percent
>The poll found that 81 percent of respondents said the Republican Party had gotten off on the wrong track and 64 percent said Trump would make the party weaker if he became the nominee.
>Only 29 percent of the respondents promised to vote for Trump in a general election, while 25 percent said they would write in another candidate, 15 percent said they'd vote for a third-party candidate and 7 percent said they'd back the Democrat.

Trump absolutely BTFO, contested convention here we come.
Utah is a mormon state. Honestly, what did we expect from them after Mitt's slander?
>>68233722
Yeah and Glenn Beck is preaching that cruz fulfils a Mormon prophecy.
Like that sounds great doesn't it?
>>68233722
Even with losing Utah he is expected to get around 1300 delegates.
>Utah
Literally no one cares other than Mormons and Glenn Beck
>>68233722
>>68233869
If Cruz gets winner-take-all (which seems very likely) how well does Trump have to do in the next states in order to avoid a contested convention?
We don't have the Klan in Utah. We are christians.
>>68233722
>cuckus
>in a state full of mormons
>after mittens the magical mormon tore into trump
this isn't a surprise to anyone, cruz winning utah has been foretold for a long, long time now
it's like being surprised that cruz won texas or kasich won ohio
>>68233957
I laughed, go to sleep Glenn
>>68233945
Trump has de facto control of New York, Pennsylvania (where Kasich isn't on the ballot!), Connecticut, Rhode Island, Maryland, West Virginia, New Jersey, Delaware, and California.
Winning all of these by a decent, not even high margin, gives him almost the number of delegates he needs. He needs a slim minority in Oregon, Washington State, Wisconsin, Utah, Indiana, and elsewhere, to skate over 1237.
Trump will be nominated without a brokered or contested convention.
>MUH PARTY
Fucking Mormons
>Mormons

this chart seems to make sense. it includes Rubio because he dropped out only recently and will still be on ballots
Utahfag here, voting for Trump tomorrow at the Caucus and I fully expect to be the only one in my district on the Trump side :(

Okay, that sounds like a fair poll. Its run by BYU alumni. Wouldnt have anything to do with Shittens, right?
>>68234150
CA might vote Kasich, Schwarzenegger endorsed him
>>68233842
>Cruz
>Mormon prophecy
Had to look at this for myself, but it's apparently true. Beck thinks Cruz is the foretold savior of the Constitution.
Weird shit, man.
>>68234053
Or that Rubio wo... Hmm.
>>68234304
Just surrender S Dakota, Mebraska, Utah, New Mexico, and Montana to rato already. 538 has a wonderful "Track for the Nomination" page and they take into account each person's coalition - Trump is expected, for example, to get only 9 delegates from Utah and less than 120 from Cali, so if he loses Utah and wins California then it'll be offset.
>>68234433
Only in the general election, silly.
>>68234433
It's a closed primary. Republican minorities actually love Trump and nobody in Cali will vote for an evangelical rat like Rafael.
>>68234505
>>68234475
Blacknigger was a shit governer and his star power doesnt matter anymore
>>68234150
Why isn't Kasich on the PA ballot?

Cruz needs over 80% of the remaining delegates, he has no fucking chance for the nomination
>>68234475
That really helped Kascuck in Ohio. Arnold who?
>>68234433
Trump does best in states with large populations of registered Republican minority voters.

california is a closed primary state, and within the republican party, trump generally does the best with minority voters. that, and bern victims finally realized that comrade sanders is getting fucking annihilated and they can't keep slithering to the other side to try and deny trump the nomination, so expect them to be in full force for sanders from now on
>>68234575
Ah, so it's the evangelical fags who don't vote trump? Kek
If Trump can't win in a state as conservative as Utah, what can we expect for places like California ?
>>68234590
In my Republican circles everyone is planning to vote Kasich now that Rubio dropped out.
>>68233842
>Yeah and Glenn Beck is preaching that cruz fulfils a Mormon prophecy.
HOLY FUCK.... tabloid is now stamped upon that fuckers forehead - he must be on massive doses of pharmas, but goood wittle boy ex alcoholic hasn't take one sip...
whatever the fuck - now an official clown embarrassment
>>68233722
Utah has never decided an election ever.
The only reason they vote for Cruz is because Mittens Romney told them to and he's their Mormon King.
US should be happy that guy never got into office, imagine a President with a sworn allegiance to his cult and not the country.
>>68234806
The opposite of how he does in the state of Kumbaya.

>>68234738

Over at 8/pol/ they're talking about how someone involved in the Utah voting process has connections to Soros
>>68235108
sure, there are some bernfags that like the idea of trump, or otherwise want him to the be nominee, but there's a pretty large number that also despise the man
there have been a few states where they've been secure in bernie's victory (and he's lost, kek), so they've slithered on over and voted for kucksich (or another candidate) to try and fuck trump over
>>68234475
Nobody in CA likes or cares about Ahnold anymore. CA is gonna go Trump, just you watch.
>>68234950

Well that's disappointing. Firm Bernie voter here who will gladly make the hour drive to my precinct to vote for Trump if he's running against Hillary.

>>68235881
I'm responding to you, not the person you're responding to, mouth breather.
>>>/b/
Lads, if Trump somehow shows up at the convention with 1050-1200 delegates and they don't give him the nod it will be the demise of the GOP. I don't believe even the establishment would be crazy enough to deny him the nomination at that point.
Keep voting, but don't worry about Trump not getting the nomination. They cant refuse him at this point, no matter how much the media hypes Utah tomorrow.
LAST? Last? I thought Trump was better than that.
Romney took 93%
Cruz can only take 54% in the polls (probably ~85 in the actual voting since it's a caucus), I'd say the surprise is actually how bad Cruz is doing. Why would anyone believe Trump could win Utah in the primaries or even in the general election?
>>68236536
>Implying that wasn't Trump's plan all along.
You can't tell me a Wharton graduate and billionaire still talks with the vocabulary of a 4th grader.
It's all an act. He deserves an oscar.
>>68236544
Mitt Romney, a Mormon high priest, endorsed John Kasich and is campaigning for The Chosen One Ted Cruz. It was inevitable.
>>68234304
wtf is wrong with utah
>>68236824
Utah is Mormon Central (religious already) and crossed with Mitten's "anyone but Trump" bit it's a recipe for a rare success on Cruz's part.
>>68234311
You're not alone, anon! Actually I've got about two dozen family and friends on board with voting him in. Unfortunately we all have jobs so we can't go in at the same times, but you're not alone! Don't let these gold-tablet-hat-sucking fucks intimidate you.
>>68233722

>>68236824
I remembered they don't allow drinks with more than 3.5% alcohol to be sold in Utah. Even in bars. People just drive to Nevada to get their beer instead.
Literally no fun allowed.
>>68234311
Me too anon, assuming I registered online properly.
I'm voting out of state tho
>>68236442

>Y2 Analytics
>Quotas were set to ensure that the data reflect voter population proportions drawn from the PPS sample.
>Live callers conducted all of the interviews. 70
% of the interviews were conducted over landlines, 30% over cell phones.
>Sample size: 500
http://big.assets.huffingtonpost.com/UTGOP2016ToplineY2.pdf
Of the 500 polled, only 54 actually got to the question of "who would you vote for"
So, actually, it's a sample size of FIFTY FOUR.
>>68233722
Doing well with Mormons was great for Mitt Romney .
Trump was never going to convince them to vote in their own interests. They do what their Mormon king says
>>68237611
It's Utah buddy. Cruz will get 80-90% and it will be one of the bluest states in the general election.
>>68236726
Politicians usually talk at a 6th grade level. Trump decided to go lower, and it seems to be working.
>>68237747
Nah, It'll be 45-50% Cruz, 35-40% Trump, 10-12% Kasich, 1-2% will vote for Romney as write-in, and the remainder will be people who already dropped out.
Save this post. Trump has a large but silent following. He'll get about a third of the total delegates.
>>68238315
Trump has worked in newspaper and magazine publishing. He knows the average American has trouble with anything over a 4th grade reading and vocabulary level.
And the media will only talk about how Trump had a crushing defeat in Utah and won't say a word on how Trump won Arizona.
>>68233722
YESSSS! NEED MORE ANTI-TRUMP THREADS!
The first thing that comes to the average American's mind when you mention Utah is "crazy Mormon nutjobs." I'm fine with Cruz winning Utah. It just plays into the (truthful) narrative that Cruz only does well with religious kooks and is therefore unelectable.
>>68234150
>Trump will be nominated without a brokered or contested convention.
You clearly don't watch enough news if you think that. CNN said a brokered convention is likely.

This.

>Believing what the MainShit Media tells you
wew
It's a Mormon circlejerk caucus.
Also: there's a new poll where he's the runner-up.
Also: it's not WTA, unlike Arizona, a state Trump is going to win.
