The idea is, despite them breaking the law, they are acting in good intentions. And so to speak against them them would either appealing to laws rather than morality or acting "immoral" in whatever way and so the hate speech claim comes up.

Western society was built with Christian values in mind. Islam has a lot of differences and unless they segregate themselves like jews have and practice their religion in private without pushing it on others it will never work. Just look at countries with a lot of muslim immigrants from Europe, they're requesting Sharia law in the streets where they live, instead of having the country's law, they're hateful to non muslims and don't respect them.
Islam would be working fine in the west if it was practiced by western people, not these middle eastern immigrants who are very primitive in their world view.
