This is what the polling is showing right now.

Recall how Republicans were so convinced that the polls were wrong in 2012 that Romney hadn't written a concession speech.

>>68202689
He has been both a Republican, and Democrat and is extremely popular here in Virginia. And was a senator in the state. It's not the normal "choose a VP from a target state thing." >mfw pierre doesn't get to prep the bull moose tonight and this makes him experience a serious bout of impotent rage

>>68201351
pretty accurate breh. i think PA is going red since it's part of the rust belt and they won't get the kind of turn out that obama got from them in the past. same with WV.

WI could maybe go red, while OR and ME are toss ups. either way, he wins in a landslide.

When Webb was considering an indie run Trump said that he'd be a "wonderful" independent candidate and that he wasn't registerin as a Dem. Webb has said that he is 100% never going to vote for Shillary and opened the door to throwing his support behind Trump.

>>
>>68203063
All Trump has said about Webb is that Webb should look into running independent and that he didn't seem like a democrat on the debate stage.
Webb has implied he'd support Trump over Clinton by saying he would never vote for Clinton and that he isn't sure about Trump yet
>>
>>68203216
Registering as in coming across as, not as in literally registering party membership.
>>
I feel like I've heard of too many people in my local state(NC) that will literally vote for anyone other than Trump/ Sure, he has support, but this board really does underestimate how many people will literally vote against Trump out of principle. He's gonna to have to have more of a platform than just "Build wall" if he's ever going to woo voters who literally hate him for being him.
>>
>>68203062
Really? That's funny, because the polls in March 2012 consistently had Obama beating Romney.

Well, I stand corrected. He seems to be maneuvering for a VP slot. Maybe some of these Webb shills here are paid by Webb?
>>
>>68203304
Because Romney was a dull candidate. Polls are usually run by liberals and they don't want to say good things about Trump. Plus it's difficult to beat the incumbent. No two presidential elections are alike.
>>
>>68203477
Then we need the board to stop comparing Reagan's to Trump's. ;^)
>>

>Webb
>Money
Also you must be really new, before he dropped out we had several Webb generals daily for a solid month after the debates.
>>
>>68203449
Webb has literally no ground game. For the week or so that /pol/ was split between Trump and Webb, the Webb threads had more organization and OC than his campaign. No way there are paid shills here. I like him as an option for VP, but if he is maneuvering for a position it's likely Secretary of State or Defense.
>>
>>68203291
Nah Trumpies fly under the radar so people who disagree with them won't attack them or set their car on fire. Behind the voting curtain they will relax and be themselves, you'll see!
>>
>>68203562
There are a lot more similarities between Reagan and Trump than between Trump and Romney...
>>
>>68203562
You're right. Trump is superior to Reagan.
>>
>>68203054
Yeah. The amount of republican voters that have showed up during the primaries is so much higher than the democrats. Ohio, Michigan, and Florida by sheer volume will go red. And that is before the large percentage of Sanders' supporters that will not for Clinton. And beyond that, a lot of Sanders' voters that won't vote for Clinton say they will vote Trump. This is the republicans year barring something really shady at the RNC convention.
>>
>>68203610
If that were the case he'd be doing better in the primaries. We've had how many open/semi-closed primaries and Trump has broken 50% of the vote once? If independents don't make up the support he lacks from base republicans, he's fucked. NC will go back blue and maybe even GA.

Sorry pham, I'm not trying to be a dick.

It's pretty vague because he has no reason to provide a full list of policies at this point. Hitting on his key issues and showing leadership is enough to win votes, and anything else would be needlessly divisive in a race that's already splitting the party apart. For example, why would he lay out a stance on Guantanamo or gay marriage when he'll only piss off half the party that he's trying to unite? These are obviously issues that he'll deal with though, in good time. They're issues that he's mentioned in passing too, but he's clearly not going to commit them to a manifesto just yet. He's in a very unique and pretty fragile position, don't forget.

Finally, those 6 positions are hardly simple 1 line pledges. They're pretty long and decently fleshed out, and you could easily split them up into a couple dozen separate pledges if you wanted to.

Currently starting a small business in the last thing I need in the banks to start doing even more slimy shit to rekt# the rest of the economy. I don't believe wallstreet should be taxed like Sanders proposes, However I will definitely vote for Trump if he gives me some type of indication that he won't allow Financial Institutions to do what they did under Clinton/Bush. (Side note, I work in finances currently)

I can't find any solid proposals, but he has said some very harsh things in that general direction (eg. he attacked huge CEO pay, he wants to close Wall St tax loopholes). He'll obviously come out with a formal plan at some point, but the general direction he seems to be going is total reform rather than just tightening current regulations/strengthening current institutions.
>>
>>68209273
I'll decide then. Many voters are not like me, they won;t decide candidates on policy, but there is still a percentage of us who look at policies so I don't think you Trump supporters should take that for granted. Like I said I'm in NC, and I could easily not vote because fuck you.

For a lot of people that's true. I myself am a truck driver and those spics are everywhere. But its not just illegals. There is a bunch of eastern yurofags too. It fucking sucks out here. Pay is to low for most young whites to do it. But there are slaves and spics that will do it. Just not enough, so there is a driver shortage. And the only way to get more drivers is to raise the pay but that means raising shipping prices and no one will do that.

That has been the case since 1900. It's how Wilson (a Democrat) was elected in 1913. The same thing will occur: they'll be a pushback against immigration (the quota system began in 1920) while immigrants gentry upwards. By 1950 and 1960, catholic irish and italians were 50/50 split on parties as they had become "white".

Mexicans are no different, especially when the current wave of immigrants are sudacas that they already hate.

It's not as much as you think

>True, a flood of Chinese imports over the past 15 years has cost hordes of U.S. jobs. In a recent paper, three respected economists -- David Autor of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, David Dorn of the University of Zurich and Gordon Hanson of the University of California at San Diego -- estimated the loss of manufacturing jobs at 985,000 from 1999 to 2011.

>But this large number needs context. Over the same period, all U.S. manufacturing jobs dropped 5.8 million; the share caused by China was a bit less than one-fifth. When the economists added China's impact on non-manufacturing firms, the job decline more than doubles to 2.4 million. Still, that's less than 2 percent of total payroll employment of 131 million in 2011 and 143 million now.
